A/N: Hey guys. Here's my new update, I hope you guys enjoy.
So annoyed right now. My "best friend" is being so mean to me and ditches me for her boyfriend. Now, she won't even talk to me.
Anyways...hope you all have a good last few days of summer!!

"So.." Draco started as him and Hermione took a seat near the lake between classes. Just hanging out as friends.
Hermione didn't hear him, though. She was deep in thought as she was staring into the lake. Hermione was very glad that her and Draco were friends again.
"What am I doing? I shouldn't be here, I should be proofreading my Transfiguration essay before it's due next hour!" Hermione sat up straight and her worrying face came on her.
Draco laughed. "I think you will be fine."
Hermione bit her lip and took out the paper anyway. "I just want to be sure," she murmured while scanning through the neatly written handwriting that belonged to her.
Draco pushed the paper away from her and put it on the opposite side of him. "We have a break. Enjoy it."
Hermione huffed, but didn't bother fighting him for it back. "Draco! You have no right to touch my paper. Don't crinkle it!"
"I won't crinkle your precious paper," he rolled his eyes and stretched out his long arms before laying down. "The sky is really blue today."
Hermione looked up. "Yeah," she agreed, contemplatively. There were swirls of fluffy, white clouds that made the sky look beautiful.
Before either of them could say something else, Hermione's vision was darkened. She looked up and saw a tall figure standing over her. Her eyes met a pair of green ones that were too piercing to be Harry's.
"What's going on here?" Zack Malfoy asked, sitting next to Hermione and eyeing Draco dubiously.
"Just hanging out.." Hermione replied awkwardly. She shouldn't feel awkward. After all, they were both her friends. She convinced herself it was only weird because they were from different Houses.
"Forgiven my dear cousin for nearly killing you?" Zack said with a smug face.
Hermione shifted uncomfortably. "That doesn't matter."
Draco shot up and turned to face him with an alarmingly angry look. "Will you just let us talk without making everything turn around?"
Hermione gulped and could feel an argument building up. This is so not what she had in mind when Draco had said that he wanted to be friends again. She forgot to think about her other friends in that moment of agreeing to Draco. Harry and Ron seemed okay about it, though they certainly weren't thrilled. Zack, on the other hand, choked on his Pumpkin Juice once Hermione told him they were friends. He was watching her every move, and every time Hermione went near Draco, Zack would follow. Like he was scared that Draco was a poison.
"I'm just going to go see what Harry and Ron are up to.." Hermione got up and left the two cousins to argue. They watched Hermione leave and gave each other dirty looks, accusingly.
Walking back to the castle, Hermione couldn't help but feel like this whole friendship was a waste of time. Sometimes she wished she never met a Malfoy.
"Herm-my-ninny," a voice came and immediately Hermione recognized it as Viktor's. She turned and saw him running to catch up with her fast strides.
A flashback of the Yule Ball came back to her as she saw his carved face. Him with that girl. Now, Hermione didn't really care.
"What's up?" She said, stopping in her track to talk to him.
"Not much, training for the Final Task," he said, looking at her intently.
Hermione nodded, remembering that Harry was training all day, anxious.
Viktor looked around and Hermione followed his gaze to Draco and Zack, in deep discussion. Hermione rolled her eyes and let out an angry sighs.
"Boy troubles?" His eyebrows shot out and Hermione laughed half-heartedly.
"No," she said, "more like friend issues."
Viktor looked like he wanted to say something more, but went against it. A breeze blew Hermione's hair back. "Want to help me practice for the Final Task?"
Hermione was surprised. They haven't talked in months and all the sudden he wants to have her practice with him? She searched his face for an indicator if he meant it, but Viktor waited for an answer.
"Oh, well, actually, Harry was asking me for help earlier..so, I'm just going to go see what he's up to." Hermione said lamely.
Viktor nodded. "Of course! Sorry, I just would like to catch up with you. Maybe after the Final Task?"
Hermione looked at Draco and Zack, now walking away from each other in a fury. She smiled at Viktor.
"That would be great."
