The relationship you had foolishly gotten yourself into was at the brink of destruction. It had only been your 2 year anniversary just last month, and you couldn't explain how each of them made you feel. Whenever you were with them in your own private bubble, sealed away from the prying eyes of the press, you felt an inextinguishable joy that no others could even remotely bring. They made you feel like a crazy in love teenager all over again. They were more than you could ever ask for, tending to you when you were sick, cuddling you on harshly cold nights, bringing you inexplicable memories and happiness on the daily.
But now you sat here, on a damaged wooden bench, the stars your only company. You ached for their comfort, but issues needed to be resolved. Just hours ago footage of your relationship had been leaked onto national television, the entirety of the world knowing about it, something that was supposed to be private, locked away forever. You knew over the past few months people were catching onto your trail, zoom ins of you holding hands with Shoto, how Kirishima and Katsuki had gotten a little too friendly in the past years; but none of it was more than silly rumours. Until of course, the far-fetched fanfics of twelve year old girls became as real as ever. The ghostly wind made goosebumps climb up your arm, and nearby lampshades flickered on, exposing you from the cover of night. The sad thing was, you still loved them, perhaps even more than ever. And you knew they did too. They had rushed over to your comfort as soon as the bomb dropped on television, wiping your tears and engulfing you in the temporary safety of their arms as your head throbbed and stomach churned. Their soothing actions didn't even make a dent in your worry, and you had fled out of the house, vision clouded with tears and mind foggy with the constant reminder of consequences. You loved them more than anything. Why couldn't they just accept that?
You raise your head, drying tears descending down your cheeks and pooling at your chin. The moon remains covered by dense clouds, taunting you from seeing its exquisite beauty. "I know... I cant believe it! I always had an inkling that something was going on between those four, you know." You hear a low voice say, a low voice that was approaching you. "Come to think of it, do you think people will be... supportive? I've always loved those four... if they break up because of this I'm never going to forgive whichever bastard leaked that picture." Another nearing voice says. You speedily put your cap on and lower it in hopes of concealing your face, and awkwardly pretend to be strangely intrigued by a stick on the floor. "I don't know... I'm personally kind of mad at them for not telling us they were dating! Who knows how long it's been going on for. I think their fans have the right to know about their relationship, especially with them being top of the chart." The other girl sighs, almost passing you. "Yeah... oh, hey, you! Have you heard the news?" She taps you on the shoulder and instinctively you look up. Big mistake. "Wait a second... no fucking way. Y/N?? It's Y/N!!" She yelps in disbelief, giving her friend a surprised glance before turning back to you. "Yeah... hello." You mumble, standing up and readying to run away to somewhere else. "Wait!" They both call. You turn around, fresh tears streaming down your face. "Listen, we know it's none of our business to intrude in your relationship.... And... what that person did. That was so shitty. I-if you haven't looked at the news or anything lately, you'll be glad to know that quite a lot of people are supportive! Just, just, stay strong for us both okay?" The girl says, kindness evident in her eyes as she nudges her friend. "Yeah what she said. This relationship doesn't affect anything at all, why should everyone be so bothered." She says defiantly. The benevolence of the two girls strikes kindness into your heart and you give them a wry smile. "They make me happy. I... hope this doesn't affect anything. Thank you, both of you." You wipe your tears, give them a much needed hug that probably helped you more than them, and sprinted off.
The night was dubiously cold, but you reminded yourself you had been through so much worse, and the intel that people were potentially being supportive of your relationship with the boys drove you on. Tears still leaked from your face consistently, but the stars glowing against the bleak night sky comforted you a little as well. You began to grow fatigued from wandering around so much, and collapsed against a tree, eyes closing despite the rough bark hurting your back. "Where is she........don't want to lose this.......she's lost........there!" Voices that sound a little too familiar float around your head. Great, even now your dreams are plaguing you. You feel a soft touch on your pulse and strong arms wrapping around you. I don't want to wake up from this dream... you thought, the gentle touches and blurred voices feeling so weirdly real. You will yourself deeper into the dream, and you can practically envision the sunny smile of Kirishima as he kisses you all over; the teasing voice of Shoto that melts into laughter when you grow defiant; and the wondrous eyes of Katsuki that can read your every emotion. Could you make it work? Would your love prove strong enough to get through even your biggest downfall?
