(Sighs)"That's David for you. He'll try to move a mountain for you, if you ask him too. His own problems? A closed book, he doesn't like talking about them."

"Does he always tease allot?"

(Smiles)"Sometimes...yea. Why you ask?"

"He told my therapist that I fuck like a crazed ferret!"

(Valerie covers her mouth to stifle a laugh.)

"Sorry. That was unexpected. That sounds like him."

"How come you know so much about him?"

"I've known David for years. I meant him thru Eddie. I've cried on his shoulders a few times in the past. We've shared some laughs. We talk to one another. Well...I do most of the talking. David's not much of a talker."

"Yes. He's told me he's not much of a people's person. I guess that's what I find so different about him, compared to other guys. He'll take the time to listen, like he did for me in Miami."

"He told me how you two meant. Hell of a story. The part about the gypsy woman is outright weird. The question is...how much further can the two of you go, before there is any backlash from your fans?"

"I don't know. Guess we'll find out."

"You realize things between the two of you might not last...don't you?"

"Wait. What? Thought you were his friend?"

"I am his friend. Look, let me put it to you this way. Let's say everything goes great between you two. Kids...maybe marriage...but what then? What if things don't last?"

"Are we just supposed to pretend we don't have feelings for one another?"

"Do you love him, Billie? The same way he loves you?"

"I... care about...David...a lot."

"That wasn't exactly a yes. Has David asked you to marry him yet?"

"No... of course he hasn't. He knows I'm busy with my career."

"What if he does? Would you say yes? Or are you going to break his heart?"

"I'll be honest with him...either way."

"Look...just think about what I'm saying...okay? Don't rush into a relationship with David, if you're not 100 % sure how you feel. He's been thru enough shit. By the way, what did you think about the Van Halen concert?"

"I'm trying to understand why David didn't tell me he could play a guitar so well."

"Like I said earlier. He gave up his dream of being a musician to help his family."

"Did you know he could play like that?"

"Yes and no. See, I knew David could play the guitar, but I didn't know how good he really was the night Eddie, myself and our son saw him again in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania years ago. I found out after Eddie sobered up, and the two of them played a jam session together. Even Eddie was impressed at how good he was. He offered to talk to Van Halen's manager for David. David refused, he figured he wasn't good enough."

"But I don't understand. He played in front of a sold-out crowd last night! Everybody was impressed. He showed no signs of stage fright whatsoever!"

"David had played in a few small clubs in the past...and as far as stage fright? David has always said if his famous brothers can do it, why can't he?"

"Famous brothers?"
