(Billie hangs her head, as the full realization of the situation occurs to me.)

"FUCK! So that's why you were in such a hurry to go on vacation. Why didn't you tell me?"

"Is it so wrong that I wanted to spend time alone with you? Me talking about what happened to me won't change anything!"

"Spend time alone with me?"(Laughs)"My God...I can't even kiss you without you moaning your brother's name! So why spend time with me?"

"Because I love you, damn it!"

"Was it my name you were just moaning? Was it?"

"Don't do this. This feels like the beach house all over again. I thought we were past that?"

"So did I... until you started fantasizing about your brother...again."

(I grab my bags and leave, as Billie cries. I spend the rest of the night alone in the closet. The wind had died down, but it was still raining hard. I was wet, tired and totally sick of Billie's bullshit...but at least I knew my name wasn't Finneas.)

(In the morning, Billie and I start walking down the road together. We had said hi to each other, but that was it. We continue to walk mile after mile. I notice Billie going slower and slower. I finally find a spot to sit down off of the road. I grab my small duffel bag and dig thru it until I find a pencil and a notebook. I open it, figuring I might as well try writing some lyrics down for another song, when I discover a written message inside.)

'Sometimes I have difficulty saying it. Sometimes I have difficulty showing it. Maybe it's because I'm still damaged. Maybe it's because I'm still broken inside...but I'm going to tell you until the day I die. I....LOVE...YOU.'

(I sit staring at the message, totally surprised. I look over at Billie, who has tears in her eyes. I get up, and hand Billie the note.)

"Think this belongs to you."

"It's a note for you, David. I do love you, and I'm going to tell you that...everyday...until you believe me."

"Actions speak louder than words, Billie."

"Then let me show you."

"We tried that last night...remember? Sun's coming up, we need to put some miles behind us before it gets too hot out."

"Any idea how we'll get a ride in the middle of no-where?"

"Well...you are pregnant."

"But I'm not showing yet."

(I roll up a sweatshirt and stick it under Billie's baggy t-shirt.)

"What do you think? About 6 months?" Billie asks.

"More like fifteen." I reply.

(I roll the sweatshirt again...and put it under Billie's shirt.)

"That'll work."

(A short time later, we're both riding in a green Volvo, with an elderly lady. She speaks to Billie.)

"So, what are you going to name it?"

"What?"

"The baby."

"Oh...baby. Well...if it's a girl...Cynthia...and if it's a boy...Elliot."

"Lovely names."

(I speak up from the back seat.)"Elliot? You're going to name the kid Elliot? You're not going to name the kid Elliot...no. Elliot is a fat kid with glasses, who gets picked on for eating his own boogers. Give the kid a name...give him a name...like Nick."

(Billie turns around and looks at me.)"Nick?"

"Yea...Nick. Nick's your buddy. He's someone you can pal around with; someone you can drink beer with. Someone who doesn't mind if you accidentally puke in his car...Nick."

(Billie rolls her eyes and turns around.)

"Of course, Finneas is a good name as well." I add.
