(A short time later, she receives a text back. 'On roof of hotel...door locked behind me.' Billie grabs a hoodie and races up the staircase towards the roof. She puts a cement block, that's on the floor near the door, in the doorway so it can't blow shut. Then she steps out onto the roof, pulling her hood tight around her head, as she searches for David in the pouring rain and wind. She finally finds him huddled in a corner. He was soaking wet, and shivering. Billie wraps her arms around his waist and helps him back inside. Sometime later, after helping David out of his wet clothes, and calling room service for some hot soup. David was sitting on his hotel bed, blankets wrapped tight around him. His fever had broken but now he was cold. Billie sits next to him, holding him close.)

"You...shouldn't be...near me. You...might get sick." (Sneezes.)

"Quiet. You'd be here for me, if I were sick."

"That's...(sneezes!) ...true."

"Drink this...cold medicine."

"Argh! Tastes horrible."

"Quit complaining. It's for your own good."

"I don't deserve this kind of treatment from you. Thought you'd still be mad at me."

"I am still mad at you...but I'm not going to let you catch ammonia either."

"Did anyone bring me (sneezes) a change of clothes?"

"Your clothes are being dried. Why...you in a hurry to get rid of me?"

"I'm in enough trouble as is...I'm just trying to (sneezes twice) keep you from getting sick."

"Why were you up on the roof?"

"Rode my Harley around for a while. Don't think the cops liked the speed I was doing. Got lost a few times, finally found my way back. Went up on roof to clear my head. Didn't realize door had a security lock on it." (sneezes)

"Valerie and I were worried about you. Why didn't your answer your phone?"

"I was still angry. Guess I should call Valerie. Let her know I'm okay."

"I already texted her a moment ago. She said she'd yell at you in the morning."

"I'm going to get a lecture from her?  Now I am feeling sick."

"Lay back then...get some sleep."

"What about you? You need your rest too."

"Then we'll sleep together. There's enough room for two."

"Billie...we shouldn't..."

(I soon find myself laying on my back, with Billie snuggled close to me, under the covers, while I thought I was still arguing.)

"David?"

"Yea?"

"I'm sorry."

"For what? I'm the one who screwed up. I should be apologizing to you."

"No... not that...it's well... it's been over four months since we've held one another, and I have missed you."

"I've missed you too, but you've been busy, Billie."

"I know...but I talked to Valerie, she told me about her and Eddie. The princess and the rocker."

"Oh yea. I remember that. I'm not exactly sure what we have though."

"Are you having second thoughts about us?"

"So... you're admitting that there actually is an 'us'? (sneezes)...Sorry....After not holding you for four months, I've been beginning to wonder."

"I said I was sorry. This tour is very important to me, after the disaster of the last one...and well...it doesn't help when we don't talk to one another."
