Rodeo Night (Sodapop X Reader)

Off I went leaning back and forth from the bull, trying to gain balance so I wouldn't fall off.

The crowd roared as the bull because more and more aggressive.

I quickly glanced at the timer that was sitting me a record.

4.50 just ten more seconds and I'll set the state record for these rodeos.

I was creating history, making history happen as everyone watched. Who would've thought.

The crowd started counting down
"10!...9!...8!...7!...6!..5!...4!3!..2!-" The buzzer went. The crowd went wild.

I jumped out of the bull, running off as it chased me.

As I made it to the gate, the Bull's horns slammed against the fencing.

I stood there with a tired smile trying to catch my breath.

As I walked around everyone started to congratulate me for the success I have achieved.

Suddenly a Movie star looking man walked up to me with a flash grin. He was cute.

"I just wanted to congratulate you" He held out his hand

"Thanks" I shook his hand

"You know it's amazing how you managed to stay on that bull for five minutes and three seconds."

"It was actually very easy, the last state record was so short, I bet the person who did it must be pissed for what I've done." I smiled

"Maybe." He laughed

"What's your name?" I asked

"What's yours?"

"I asked first."

"I'll anwser when you do." He smiled

"Y/N L/N"

"Well Congrats Y/N L/N...I'm Sodapop Curtis, the last person who had the highest state score on rodeos for Tusla Oklahoma."

My heart skipped a beat.

"I didn't mean t-"

"I know, I know. But just to have your question answered, they guy isn't pissed." He gave a joking smiled

I smiled back, wanting to leave the awkward situation.

"Well, wanna get something to eat? My treat?" He smirked

"Sure."

And off we went.
