Andy's POV

"Andy baby, you need to go."

"What do I mean I need to go?!"

"I knew bring you up here was dangerous, I was selfish. I could get you killed. I just thought if we were to die, we would die together."

"Robert I know you are speaking to me right now as my husband but I am speaking to you as your lieutenant... I am one hell of a firefighter so 1. Don't underestimate me 2. I am partnered up not only with my captain but my husband and the father of my son so don't dare think I am leaving you here. We are not dying! Get your ass up the stairs right now!"

"Yes boss."

We reached to the top of the stairs, in front the door to enter. Before he could push open the door, I grabbed him by his elbow turning him to look at me.

"I love you Robert Sullivan." I said tearing up a little

"I love you Andrea Sullivan." He said tearing up while taking off his mask quickly to kiss me. He wrapped his arm around my neck and pulled me to him. He crashed his lips into mine causing me to fall back a little. After a few seconds we pulled away...

"Okay you ready to do this?!"

"Let's go."

He pushed opened the door. The hallway was full of black smoke but we still managed to see, making our way through the hallway, knocking and calling at each door never letting go of each other's hand.

"Wait- I hear something." Robert said looking frantically around

"Yeah I hear it too, it's sounds like a baby-"

We both looked at each other shocked. We took a few steps back and we found the door where we were hearing the cries the loudest. Robert kicked open the door. The apartment was full of deep black smoke.

"Stay low!" I shouted

We followed the baby's cry to find him in his crib in his nursery. All I was thinking was how can a parent leave their child?!

"Bishop, Gibson are you out yet?" Robert spoke over the radio

"Yes captain." Maya replied

"We found a baby, he's about 6 months. I need you and Gibson to come get him. Herrera and I still have the rest of the floor to check."

"Okay we're coming up."

10 mins later

"Captain we're at the door." Jack said over the radio

"Okay we're coming." I replied

We handed the baby of the Maya and Gibson before continuing to look through the floor.

20 mins later

*beep beep beep*

"Robert my oxygen- it's almost out!"

"Mine too." He said looking at me with fear in his eyes. He knew we couldn't make I back down in time.

"Bishop... Herrera and I's oxygen is almost out...we are still at the top floor... we are heading down... you are in charge..." he said shaking over the radio

"Captain what do you mean?!"

"I mean Herrera and I are very unlikely to make it out of this building. You are in charge!"

"Ben, please take James, take care of him please." I said tearing up over the radio looking at my husband who nodded in agreement with me.

"Of course Andy." He replied

"Captain stay where you are, we are coming to get you guys. We are walking with extra oxygen! Stay there!"

"Maya it will be too late! Stay alive for James, take care of him!" I cried over the radio

"STAY WHERE YOU ARE!" She shouted over the radio.
