Robert's POV

"Oh my god." Andy exclaimed before starting to run towards the door of the building

"ANDY!" I yelled running behind her

"Bishop get out of there. Bring everyone you have out. We are sending two others to take over." I radioed

"Copy Sir."

"Andy!" I yelled grabbing her

"Robert I have to go!" She yelled back

"I know. But I am going with you!" I said sternly. Right as we were about to enter Bishop, Gibson and Dixon existed with 6 adults and 7 children...

"Where is he?!" Andy started to yell to the caretakers

"He's supposed to be in the nap area..." one of them replied looking scared

"That is close to the explosion..." I whispered

"Let's go Andy!" I yelled

We entered the building, we were surrounded by thick smoke. Thankfully we knew the building so we quickly made our way to the nap area.

"JAMES!" I yelled not letting go of my wife's hand

"J! Where are you baby?!" Andy shouted

"James!"

We searched every crib, every bed, every room. No sign of our son. Where could he be?

"Where is he Robert?" Andy asked me starting to panic

"I don't know baby, I don't know..."

"JAMESSSSS!!!!" She shouted

"Mommy!" We softly heard behind us

"You heard that?" I spun around

"Yeah... J WHERE ARE YOU BABY?!"

"JAMES!" I yelled

"DADA!" We heard his cries louder

"We're coming buddy, stay where you are. Don't move!" I shouted

We made our way down the hallway listening closely and calling his name every few seconds. Every step we took his voice became louder but still no sight of him... until we saw his blanket poking through a closet door. I grabbed Andy's hand and ran towards the door and pulled it open

"DADA! MAMA!" He cried. Andy immediately dropped to her knees and embraced him. He couldn't stop crying, she couldn't stop crying but I knew I had to get them out of here

"Come on guys, we need to get out of here now..." I said touching Andy's back

"Come by daddy." I said stretching my hands out so James can come into my arms. He immediately jumped into them. I held him on my left and wrapped my other hand around Andy's waist

"We're coming out!" Andy radioed

"Ow! Andy my leg!" I shouted almost falling down

"Robert!" She exclaimed

"Take him and go now!" I shouted looking at the door a few feet away

"NO I AM NOT LEAVING YOU!" She yelled

"ANDREA! Not now please. Take him and go. Please." I begged starting to cry

"We can make it! Put your weight on me!" She yelled back starting to cry

"Dada!" James started

"I love you James." I said kissing him on his cheek and handing him to his mother

"Andy, I'm right behind you... just go..."

"I am not leaving you!" She yelled

"ANDREA GET OUT OF THIS BUILDING RIGHT NOW! I AM RIGHT BEHIND YOU!" I yelled scaring her a little

"I'm sorry, I love you. I am right behind you just go in front of me..." I said softer realizing how mean I sounding

"Okay..." she said looking sad

"I love you." I said caressing her cheek

"I love you too." She said

"Come on let's go." I said. She began walking, while I struggled behind, limping. At that moment, I knew there was a chance I may not make it out of that building. Once I see my family get out, I will be happy.

We were almost to the door, so I tried walking faster to catch up a little with them but the pain came out of no where and knocked me off my feet. I knew I needed to get up, I tried and struggled but I got up.

"I'm right behind you baby." I shouted realizing that she was slowing down to look back for me. They were almost out and I was starting to become relieved

They were now out of the building and I felt a shock of relief fall over me. I still had a few feet in front of me. I really thought I could make it... I really did...
