"Morning 19." I said walking into the beanery
"Morning Sir" and "Morning Chief." was heard through the room
"With Bishop on vacation and Hughes on desk duty we are going to have to pull some extra weight, please let us be safe out there..." I said while walking out remembering my experience from a few weeks ago
Andy's POV
"Is he okay?" Vic whispered leaning closer to me
"He's- I don't know... he's different at work... and he's good at home. I think work gives him ptsd..." I said softly
"Why don't we go on a double date tonight?" She smiled
"That would be amazing actually... I can leave James with my cousin..."
"Yeah sounds good..." she grinned
"How's the baby girl?" I smiled while resting my hand on her belly
"She's good, becoming more active. Kicking like crazy..." Vic laughed
"When she comes out, you're gonna miss the kicks." I laughed

"That's me and Dixon, let's go." Warren said stuffing food in his face before running out the beanery
In Robert's Office
Robert's POV
*knock knock knock*
"Come in." I said not looking up
"Good morning Robert." Pruitt said startling me. I didn't expect the person at the door to be him...
"Pruitt." I said coldly sitting back on my chair because I started to feel my leg tensing yet again.
"How is your leg?" He asked standing awkwardly
"Why are you here?" I asked coldly
"I am sorry Robert... I- I- was selfish and wrong to think Andy didn't love you, I was wrong to think you didn't love her. Since she was young she has been with Ryan, they were inseparable so it was always my dream for the both of them to end up together. After all these years I finally saw how much you mean to her..." he said looking me in my eyes
"What do you mean?" I asked confused
"I was there at the fire... I was there when they pulled you out... the way Andy fell apart... I never saw a person look so broken to see another person hurt. I am sorry, I lied to you, I lied to Andy and I lied to my grandson. I am sorry for betraying our family..."
"Thank you Pruitt." I said standing up
"Look Andy is the love of my life, and I will never let anything happen to her. I know I am not your first choice husband but-" I started
"No you are, both of you are meant to be. I am an idiot for not realizing it earlier." He interrupted
"Thank you." I said raising my hand to shake his. He immediately took it and shook it
*knock knock knock*
"Come in." I shouted
"Chief- dad what are you doing here?" Andy asked startled glancing between him and I
"I came to speak to my son in law." He smiled
"Yes he did..." I smiled while nodding ensuing she caught the hint
"Oh that's good..." she chuckled
"Andrea... I should also apologize to you... As I told Robert, I am an idiot for not realizing that both of you are meant to be. He loves you so much and you love him so much. I have always envisioned you with Ryan but I was wrong. Robert is your soulmate and I finally see it. I am sorry for betraying our family..." he said tearing up
"Thank you dad." She said hugging him.
"I should get going... I would love to visit James soon..." he said walking to the door
"Okay I'll call you." Andy said waking
"Bye guys." He waved
"Bye Pruitt."
"Hi Captain you needed something?" I smirked walking closer to her ensuring the door and blinds were shut
"There's something I've been needed for a while but I don't know..." she said wrapping her arms around my neck
"I love you." I said into her lips
"Mhm I love you too..." she said before kissing me
"We're going on a double date with Vic and Luke tonight..." she smiled as we pulled away
"Sounds fun." I lied.
"You're lying." She said bluntly
"What?-" I stuttered
"Robert Sullivan I know you're lying, what aren't you telling me?" She said taking her hands off of my neck and unto her hips
"I am still getting pain in my leg..." I said softly. In this exact moment I felt the weakest I have ever felt. I am a man, I am supposed to be strong. I just keep burdening my wife who has been through enough
"What? What do you mean?" She said putting one hand on my chest and the other on my abs
"There's still a tense searing pain that keeps happening..." I said not looking into her eyes
"Oh love..." she said taking my face into her hand and adjusting it to look at her
"Come here." She said bring my shoulder down and my head into her chest.
"I'm sorry for being weak..." I mumbled
"You are not weak Robert. Never say that. You are the strongest man I know and never in my life have I questioned that."
