One week later
In the car
Robert's POV
Surgery Day
"You okay baby?" Andy asked startling me
"Yeah... I'm just nervous..." I smile glancing at her
"I know... I am too..." she chuckled
"I'm happy that I'm getting it done and over with though..."
"Yeah when the twins come we're gonna be running all over the house." She chuckled
"We're gonna have three children..." I said coming to a realization
"I know right, you know how much trouble that is." She laughed
"So much trouble..." I chuckled
"Once I recover I'll put the cribs together..." I said kissing her hand
"You don't have to rush babe, we have 3 more months..."
"I know but... what if they come early..." I mumbled
"Hey hey hey don't say that." She chucked
"I can't wait to meet them..." I pouted as we pulled into the car park
"Me too but they have to grow full term." She chuckled
"Fineeeee." I jokingly rolled my eye while kissing her hand before exiting the car. I then carefully helped Andy out of the car and made our way inside the hospital...
"Um hi I'm Robert Sullivan... I have a surgery scheduled with Dr. Shepherd..." I said to the receptionist
"Yes Mr-" she started
"Andy, Robert!" A familiar voice said startling us
"Miranda." I said as we spun around and notice her walking up to us
"Are the twins okay? Are you guys okay?" She asked looking worried
"Everything's great with the babies... Robert has his surgery later today..." Andy frowned at the end of the sentence
"Ohh Ben told me... let's get you guys comfortable." She signaled to an intern
"Get Mr and Mrs Sullivan a room close to a washroom and the cafeteria." She said sternly to the intern
"Okay Chief."
"Thank you." I smiled to which Andy did the same
"Not a problem, I'll check on you guys...lemme know if you need anything."
"Will do." Andy said as we walked following the intern
The intern led us to a room within perfect distance from the washroom and cafeteria as told. A nurse then came and helped settle us in. She then gave me a gown to change into and strapped in wires and patches. Once she existed, Andy settled in the chair, next to me while holding my hand.
"You look sexy with literally anything on." She said lustily
"I thought I looked better with nothing on?..." I laughed
"Mhmm yes." She smiled
"Are you comfortable?" I asked
"Yes I'm good..." she said with her leg bouncing up and down
"I'm gonna be okay..." I said trying to convince myself as well
"I know but still you're going into surgery..." she frowned while fidgeting with my hand
"I'm coming out a new man." I chuckled
"Hey but I like this man." She laughed
"I'm coming out a better man, stronger." I flex my arm
"Mhmm." She grinned
2 hours later
Andy's POV
"So we have to get you up to the pre-op area now." Dr Shepard said
"Okay." I said.
"Let's give them a few minutes." Dr Shepherd signaled to her intern to give Robert and I a few minutes. Once they exited I made my way to Robert's bed and sat next to him
"You're gonna be okay." I squeezed his hand
"I am."
"You're gonna come out brand new... ready for our next adventure."
"I am."
"Okay." I smiled leaning into him
"I love you." I pulled our lips apart
"I love you." His deep voice soothing my nerves
"I want you to relax, talk to the twins, tell them I'm gonna be okay... when J comes he will distract you. Okay? I just want you to relax..." He said in a stern loving way
"Okay dada." I joked
"Very funny." He chuckled before bring my lips back to his
"Can we please go on a trip after the twins come and we settle down?" He pulled away
"Yeah I think we need it, once the twins reach the right age... we can."
"Great." He grinned before kissing me again
*knock knock knock* we heard interrupting our kiss
"Alright it's time to go..." Dr Shepard entered
"Alright baby, see you after. I'll be right here." I smiled while squeezing his hand
"Okay." He said looking sad
"We love you." I took his hand and put it on my bump.
"I love you too." He smiled as they rolled him out of the room.
"I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure I fix his leg today Mrs Sullivan." Dr Shepherd turned around
"Thank you... and please call me Andy, you practically saved my husband's life so." I chuckled
"Ok Andy... see you in a while." She laughed while exiting
