Andy's POV
*knock knock knock*
I looked over to Robert confused as to who can be at the door
"Are you expecting anyone? He whispered
I nodded "No"
"I'll get it..." he said standing up from the couch
He walked up to the front door while I took James into my arms and faced my back to it.
"Morning Pruitt." He said relieved
"Good morning Robert." My father replied
I turned around to see my father at the door...
"What are you doing here?" I asked softly
"To apologize..." he said looking down
Robert looked at me to know wether or not to let him in so I nodded to let him in...
In the car
"I never thought I'd live a day to see Pruitt apologize on his own..." Robert laughed
"I know... it's like he missed me." I joked
"Are you ready Captain Herrera?" He said in a flirtatious voice
"Ready as I'll ever be..." I replied quietly.
"Hey... you'll be amazing, you are amazing..." he said resting one hand on my thigh.
"Are you gonna speak to Luke?" I asked squeezing his hand
"I'm not ready, I'm still very angry... are you going to speak to Bishop?"
"I don't know, the past few months while it has been bad, I got to spend a lot of time with you and James and I'm grateful for that. In a two weeks is Christmas all I want is for us to be happy with our family... that's all."
"Okay babe." He said pulling into James' day care
"Tell dada bye bye." I said holding J to the window on Robert's side
"Bye buddy. I love you." Robert said playing with curls
"Da da." James mumbled while waving his little hand. Robert grinned so happily. I couldn't help but feel happy at the interaction between my boys.
At the station
"Morning 19." I said walking into the beanery.
"Good morning" and "morning" were heard in the room. I got one of Robert's smoothies from the fridge and said
"Bishop can I speak to you in my office please..."
"Yes captain." She blotted up
In my office
"Andy before you start, I would like to say I am sorry. I made a bad call that resulted in you almost dying and I have been regretting that call ever since. I am sorry. I should also apologize to your husband also..."
"Thank you for the apology. I accept but I don't recommend you speak to my husband... he is still quite upset..." I chuckled
"Okay." she laughed
"Are we okay?" She asked softly
"We're working it..." I responded
"Good." She smiled
"Can you tell the team line up is in a few minutes please."
"Sure thing." She replied before leaving my office.
In Robert's office
Robert's POV
*knock knock*
"Come in..." I said as I looked up. Andy walked in smiling
"Hi beautiful..." I grinned
"Hey..." she blushed
"What's up?" I said noticing her smile
"I talked to Maya..."
"That's good." I said opening my arms so she can sit on my lap.
"How did it go?" I ask as she put her head unto my chest
"It went good, I just want everyone to be happy... that's all."
"Once you and James are happy, I am happy..." I replied while playing with her hair
She snuggled deeper in my chest
"I miss not being with James." She mumbled
"I miss not being with him too." I said kissing her on her forehead
"What are we doing for his birthday?" She said raising up excitedly still sitting on my lap
"What do you want to do?" I chuckled
"Can we have a party?" She asked with puppy eyes
"Yes love." I smiled
"Yay! We will plan later, I should head back to my office though..." she said happily
"Okay Captain Herrera." I said kissing her in her cheek
"Yes Chief Sullivan." She grinned before kissing me deeply then getting up from my lap
"Love you wifey..."
"Love you too hubby." She grinned opening the door to leave
