Andy's POV
"Woah..." Maya said softly next to me while we observed the fire in front of us. It was a huge storage unit, with thick black smoke seeping out of the single door.
"Okay people! Hughes, Miller, fire attack. Warren, Montgomery, aid car, Gibson, Dixon evac, Herrera you're by yourself in evac!" Maya shouted
"What do you mean I'm by myself?! I need a partner?!" I shouted confused
"Herrera that is an order, there are people in there! Go! Now!" She shouted back angrily
I dropped my shoulders in defeat and ran into the unstable building. I can't believe she sent me in alone... Robert will be so mad at me for coming in alone...
Outside
"Requesting the Battalion Chief please, this is getting out of my control." Maya said over the radio
"Okay I will inform Chief Sullivan, stand by." A women said over the radio
"Copy."
15 mins later
Robert's POV
"Okay Bishop report to me." I said softly walking up to her
"So Warren and Montgomery is on aid, Hughes and Miller on fire attack, Gibson and Dixon on evac and Herrera is on evac."
"Okay so everyone is partnered up?" I asked out of routine not hearing properly that my wife isn't partnered up with someone
"No Herrera is alone..." she said looking at the door
I spun around already fuming
"What do you mean Herrera is alone?!" I yelled
"I told her to go in alone..." she said realizing her mistake
"What?!" I started to go crazy
"Herrera! Do you copy?!" I yelled panicking over the radio
*chsuuhh chsuuhh*
No answer
"Herrera!"
*chsuuhh chsuuhh*
No answer yet again
I started to panic... should I go in? I can't leave my wife to die! How could Bishop send me in alone?!
"Robert!" I heard a familiar voice. It was Vic
"Hey hey, follow my breathing. Breathe in... breathe out..." she said holding my shoulders. Once I calmed down I glanced to the door before looking to Vic
"Andy! Do you copy?!" I yelled over the radio once again
*chsuuhh chsuuhh*
No answer
I turned to Vic and Bishop who was whispering behind my back.
"I am going in. Hughes call Chief Ripley immediately!" I said
"Chief you can't go in! You're in charge!" Maya yelled
"Gibson is in charge!" I yelled putting on my equipment before running in the unstable building
"Andy!" I yelled in the building
"Herrera!"
"Andy!"
"Andrea!"
"Andy where you!" I yelled starting to choke with panic
*beep beep beep beep beep*
"Andy!" I shouted as I heard the alarm going off. I ran to the sound, following it closely to find her laying on the floor motionless. I ran up to her and placed her in my arms. I took off my gloves and her mask so I can check if she has a pulse, she did, but a very slight one. So I put her mask back on and transferred some oxygen to her before lifting her up and carrying her in my arms out of the building.
