Robert's POV
"Come on let's go back to the door..."
"Okay yeah." She replied shaky
We made our way back to the door. I sat on the ground, my back against the wall pulling my wife with me. Instead of putting her to my side, I put her in between my legs with her back to my chest. She wrapped my arms around her as she pulled her head closer to my heart. Anytime she is scared or upset, she would lay on my chest listening to my heart beat.
"I love you okay. Thank you for making my life the best." I whispered in her ear
"I love you, I love you too. Thank you for being the best husband, man and father." She mumbled softly
That is the last thing I remember before we both blacked out.
*beep beep beep beep beep beep..."
I opened my eyes, squinting waiting for my eyes to adjust to the light
"Andy..."
"Mr Sullivan you're okay, you're at the hospital."
I looked around confused
"Andy..."
"I'm not understanding sir..."
"Where's my Andy?"
"Mrs Sullivan?"
I nodded
"She's in the next room resting, she woke up a while ago."
"Is she okay?"
"You both suffered with smoke inhalation but no major issues internally."
"Where's my son?! I need to call my father-in-law!" I asked realizing that James is with Pruitt
"He's outside... do you want to see them?"
"Yes thank you."
5 mins later
"Robert!"
"Pruitt. Where's Andy?!"
"She right next door sleeping."
"Okay, can you help me unbutton this gown and give James to me please?"
"Of course."
He helped unbutton the gown and placed Janes on my bare chest.
"Hey kiddo, I love you so much, so much." I said tearing up a little while caressing his tiny head on my chest.
15 mins later
"My boys..." Andy said with sad eyes as Dr. Grey rolled her into the room.
The room was big enough for two beds so I insisted that they bought my wife into the same room.
After settling Andy in, she took James to feed him. While feeding him she looked over to me
"I don't what to say except I love you." She said
"I love you too." I replied
"We have to say here for two days, I think we should ask Ben and Miranda if they can babysit." I said looking at her
"Yeah I think that's good idea."
"Okay I'll call him."
30 mins later
Andy's POV
"We would like to ask both of you firstly if you can babysit James for the next two days until we get out. Secondly after our experience yesterday, the right thing to do is to ask you both formally... if anything were to happen to us both like yesterday and we don't make it out. We ask that you both take James as his guardians." Robert said
"Of course we will babysit... as for the second part... I speaking without discussing with Ben but yes. IF anything were to happen to both of you, we will be his guardians."
"I agree" Ben said
"Thank you so much." I said
"No problem, let me take him. You both need rest."
"Okay... bye buddy, mommy and daddy loves you."
