Pdv Kira :

I start to put my luggage and Carl's luggage in my car while Shane and my dad make a round.

After a few minutes here they are again accompanied by .... Dale?! What was he doing with them? It's none of my business, the way Dale looks at Shane, something must have happened that didn't matter to the pensioner.

We are all together talking when Shane and my dad interrupt our conversation.

Shane: Listen, I have thought about Rick's plan, what we can already say is that there are no guarantees. Whatever we choose to do, I want to admit it. I've known Rick for a very long time and the most important thing is to stay together so if everyone agrees we take off first thing tomorrow morning.

Everyone nodded in agreement. Everyone will attend to these occupations. I run to catch up with Dale, I want to know what happened to me!

Me: Dale?

Dale: Yes Kira?

Me: Are you okay?

He looks at me, shaking an eyebrow, that's the Dale look. I'm sure everyone once in their life had the right to their famous look

Dale: Well yes. Why did you ask me that? There are a few things?

Me: It's more up to me to ask this question, isn't it? I saw how you looked at Shane. Something happened ?

Dale smiled at me, tilting his head to the side.

Dale: Nah don't worry.

I was going to open my mouth to ask him what I ask him all the time but he was faster than me.

Dale messes my hair up ruffling my hair on the way to his RV.

Rick: Well go everyone must go to bed tomorrow we get up early.

Carl: No I still want to sleep with Kira.

My father looks at me before saying yes. He says good night to us and we go into my tent to fall asleep. I lay my father's hat by my side.

Carl snuggles into my arms, and closes his eyes. I kiss her forehead and wish her good night. How I love this kid!

Carl: I love you big sister. *yawns*

Me: I love you too Carl.

I look in Carl's direction and notice that he has fallen asleep. I don't take long to join him.

It's the next day everyone is waking up and Shane is doing a topo. The Morales family announces to us that they are not coming with us and that they are going to join their family, I don't know where. I say goodbye to them and hug Morales.

Morales: I hope we meet again very soon.

Me: Me too and try to stay alive understood?

Morales: Yeah don't worry.

We separate from each other and they leave. Seconds later we were all in our cars ready to go. Carl got in the same car as me. I turn on the ignition and start.

After 1 hour of driving, the motorhome stops on the side. I park behind this one and get off.

Jacquie: And Jim is in bad shape... Very bad, he won't last long...

I chat with Dale while my dad leaves to talk to Jim. After a discussion my father comes back with his head down.

Rick: He wants us to leave him there.

Me: But we're not going to leave it there Nah? He may not be lucid.

Rick: Yes he was.

After a mini debate we install Jim at the foot of a tree. Everyone bids him farewell. It's my turn .

Me: You have courage man.

Jim smiled at me.

Jim: Tell me Kira .... He .... Do you have a cigarette left for me?

Me: of course .

I take a cigarette from between her lips and light it. I also take one. why deprive yourself anyway it's the end of the world so good.

Jim: Thank you...

I smile at him and get back in the car.
I turn on the ignition and we all leave. It pisses me off to leave it there at the foot of a tree. But hey... he made his choice after all.

My dad runs to the CDC door and starts pounding on it.

Shane: There's no one here!

Rick: So why are the shutters down!

Daryl: Walkers behind you.

Me and my dad keep pounding on the door. I'm sure there is someone, it has to be!

Shane: Rick it's a dead end go we move we go to Fort benning.

Everyone starts shouting from all over the place. It makes no sense.

Rick: The camera moved!

Dale: It's in your head.

Shane: Rick's dead it's an automatic system. You understand.

Me: Nah, I've been here many times before and I can tell you that what you're talking about is bullshit. It is not an automatic system.

I start banging on the door again as Shane tries to pull me and my dad.

Me: Look at me, I'm master caporal Kira Grimes, I've been here many times! You must help us!

Rick: Please, you are our only hope! Help us I beg you we have women and children we have more food! Let us in!!!

Daryl hugs me and pulls me back with him.

Me: LET US IN!!!

We start to leave when a huge noise and a big light appears behind us.
