ADELE'S POV:
I eyed Tyler intently as he scrolled his thumb over his cellphone to check his text messages.
Genuinely for me, I wanted Tyler to be chosen for this. Since I'd actually seen how sincere this guy was about dance, I couldn't help but think so. Let's just say, I grew up seeing it. Although I never really appreciated him or his knacks directly, I couldn't deny that dance was his utmost intent and he was so incredibly flawless in it. His dedication was so strong—considering the fact that he literally initiated a brawl on the stage with me when we were kids, just because I won it!
I mean, if it was the other way around, I wouldn't start a squabble or hate him, I'd rather congratulate and walk away since there's always next time. Also, I danced because I loved to and I wasn't that competitive about it. And Tyler, as I said, he danced because it was his foremost goal, and this, the opportunity that Darwin had put forward, I knew how important it was for him and he'd do anything just to be there.
I glanced at Tyler who relatively gasped, peeking up at me from his cellphone screen, after I assume he saw the results. I swallowed a breath. I still couldn't figure out if he was in or not, since his face displayed no expressions at the moment as he slid his cellphone back in his pocket.
"Hadwin," Tyler muttered and I continued to look at him with a hopeful stare.
"Tell me, Tyler. Are you in?"
Tyler exhaled a quick breath before he pursed his lips. With a sigh, I opened my mouth to speak since I guessed he was out but then his lips suddenly split into a grin that evidently showcased his delight.
"I am in, Hadwin. I am in!" Tyler's voice almost broke with intensity as his eyes were nearly tearful with ecstasy.
"Oh, my goodness!" A grin creased on my lips hearing that. I felt tingling in my fingers and toes, just like when I am anxious but this time it was warm, instead of worrisome. When I heard Tyler inform me that he was selected, or just how crazily happy he looked I couldn't help but smile with contentment.
"I am selected, Hadwin! Can you believe this?"
Due to the excitement, Tyler involuntarily pulled me towards himself and before I knew it, I was enclasped into a firm hug, with his arms tightly girded around my waist. I didn't protest though, instead, I returned the embrace, encircling my arms around his torso and resting my head on his chest.
"Gosh, I am so happy," I heard him whisper as he scarcely buried his face in my hair, to which I smiled, breathing in a sigh.
I was vehemently ignoring the sensations I felt because of his attractively deep voice alone. Obviously, I shouldn't be thinking about that right now.
How happy was he though? I hadn't seen Tyler this way ever before and the fluttering in my stomach just wouldn't stop, watching him grin like that, instead of always smirking.
When we pulled apart, his hands stayed on my waist while mine were wrapped around his torso, as we glanced at each other. His green eyes that had nothing but bliss glinting in them looked back at mine. The grin on Tyler's full lips had turned into a smile now, and it was inescapable not to stare at them.
Holy good god, again, why was this guy so damn gorgeous?
"So, do you wanna dance then?" I found myself questioning him to which I received one of his luscious smiles.
"Of course," He whispered, "Of course, I wanna dance."
When his eyes roamed over my face like that, gosh, I could swear, I almost held in a breath, being rigid on the spot.
