ADELE'S POV:

"I never promised you that I wouldn't tear that motherfucker apart, Adele! I cannot just stand by when he's right there in front of me like that. Why did you ask me to stop, damn it?"

Tyler's anger was palpable. He didn't just enter the ground; he stormed in, radiating fury. I couldn't help but shrink back, following him quietly. With a sharp intake of breath, he took a seat on the bleachers, his arms resting heavily on his thighs as he clenched and unclenched his fists, his jaw tight with tension. I exhaled a sigh, feeling a wave of concern wash over me.

I understood his desperation to confront Frederick for what he did to me, but all I wanted was for him to stay safe. I couldn't bear to see him put himself in harm's way when I knew the risks all too well.

"Tyler, we talked about this," I said quietly, and he sighed, turning away from me. "I don't want you to get hurt or into trouble. I can't bear to see you like that."

He remained silent, his gaze fixed on something in the distance, and I sighed deeply.

"Tyler," I said, making my way to where he sat on the bleachers. Gently, I unclasped his fingers, standing between his legs and cupping his face in my hands, forcing him to look at me. "Please, talk to me."

He visibly gulped, his eyes softening at the sight of me, his arms loosely encircling my hips. "You know I can't do this, Luna," he whispered hoarsely, the remnants of his earlier rage still evident in his voice. "Please, don't ask me to. That man... he infuriates me to the point where I fear what I might do. I can't stand to even think about him."

"I understand," I replied softly, my heart aching for him. "I know he enrages you. But Tyler, I can't bear the thought of anything happening to you. What if, god forbid, something like Bryan were to happen to you?"

"Trust me, Luna. He's no match for me. Someone needs to put him in his place," he ground through clenched teeth, "And that someone happens to be me. He'll pay for what he's done."

"No, Tyler. You can't do that."

"Yes, Luna. I can and I will," he insisted firmly.

"Please, Tyler. Don't be so stubborn."

"I won't back down, Luna. Not until he's nothing but a distant memory. A vile, disgusting and unpleasant one, at that."

I sighed wearily, my fingers gently tracing the contours of his cheeks in an effort to soothe his stubbornness. "Tyler, please," I murmured softly, tilting my head slightly and giving him my best puppy dog eyes, hoping to appeal to his softer side. "For me?"

A slow smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he met my gaze. "For you, huh?" he mused, his expression softening with affection, "You have such a power over me, Luna, that's both terrifying and intoxicating," his hand lifted to cup my chin, his touch tender as he traced his thumb along my jawline before he added, "I'll gladly follow you into the depths of oblivion, if you ask me like that, princess. Just say, and I'll let your voice be the last thing I hear."

My cheeks flushed with warmth at his words, and I couldn't help but smile adoringly at him. This man meant everything to me. "Tyler, you'll be the death of me one day, I swear," I chuckled softly, leaning in to place a kiss first on his forehead, then his nose, and finally his lips, which spoke such beautiful words. He pulled me closer by my waist, returning my kiss with passion, and I smiled into it, knowing he had finally calmed down. As we pulled away, a sense of peace washed over us both.

"Did you really just kiss away all my anger?" Tyler's voice was raspy, but there was a playful glint in his eyes as he smirked at me. "Was that a trick you pulled to calm me down, Luna?"
