ADELE'S POV:
"That guy was too shocked to even speak anything, Ad! That was kinda cruel if you ask me."
I dragged my eyes to the side, looking at Nicole who spoke. We ambled through the hallway after my great performance in the cafeteria that, most certainly, left Tyler shook.
"Come on now, I just hugged him."
"If I remember correctly, weren't you guys planning to kill each other just yesterday?" Bryan uttered this time, striding to my right, and Nicole nodded her head vigorously, to my left.
"I still want to kill him," I gave a shrug to my shoulders, muttering nonchalantly, "But he's my fake boyfriend now. I had to do it."
"I suggest you speak to Tyler about this, he is so clueless," Nicole suggested as the three of us now walked out of the university.
"I agree with Nico," Bryan pursed his lips, nodding his head.
The three of us now stood outside the university, near our cars, and I practically flinched at their words. I couldn't even imagine how Tyler, his egoistic self would react when I'd tell him—he was my fake boyfriend.
"Drop it," I shook my head at them, "Did you guys see how Frederick reacted though?" I pulled a satisfied grin, "He literally left the cafeteria and Ellie on the spot."
My friends emitted a what felt like a tired sigh before Bryan spoke, "You're crazy, sugar."
"True," Nicole nodded and I rolled my eyes.
"Anyway, I'll go check on that poor guy," Bryan chuckled a little, "I can imagine Tyler breathing out flames."
Nicole and I snickered at his response before Bryan walked away, waving us a goodbye.
Well, sure Tyler would be infuriated to no end, but I was kinda satisfied and happy, eventhough that made him crazy. The fact that I literally crushed Frederick's nerve, his ability to think that he could do whatever he wants and get away with it was making me feel great. That bastard will not control me any longer. He cannot make ruin my life, again.
Nicole turned to face me then, one of her brows lifted in doubt, "There's something that's still bothering me though."
"And what is it?" I faced her too, my lips holding the slightest smile.
"Tyler literally didn't scream at you, like a crazy," Nicole appeared as if she just went into a deep thinking, and I knew there was a huge rambling coming my way with how she pouted, "Sure, he growled at you but was he really that shocked to even speak or shout, like he always does? It's not that I want you guys to argue, obviously, but it was so different from the usual Tyler and Adele we see. Did that even slightly mean you left him feeling some kind of a way, or does he—
"Nicole!" I looked at her, my eyes widened at how her brain works. This girl could romanticise literally anything and everything. I mean, Tyler and I? Good god. A big no.
"Seriously, Adele?" Nicole shook her head at me, "Didn't that surprise you too?"
Well, she had a point though. Did Tyler somehow freeze like I always did when he walked closer towards me? What even was going on with him.
"It surprised me, yes. But let's not think anything else about it," I titled my head to look at my best friend who now had a grin on her lips, quite a teasing grin to which I sighed, "It cannot happen, Nicole."
"Why not?" She literally whined like a child which made me heave a breath and roll my eyes.
"Because he is a plain jerk. He cannot behave with me. Ever."
