The hospital was full of people all of them yelling or moving around yanking curtains. Tris checked all the beds for Four before she finally sat down in one of her own. I had been checking for Uriah and he was also missing. A nurse dabbed at Tris's arm with antiseptic, the nurse however was unfocused.

"I can wait if you need to do something else."

"You need stitches." The nurse barked at Tris.

"It was just a graze!" Tris shot back.

"For your head not your arm." The nurse huffed at her then shot me a look. "Don't think I don't see all those cuts on you too missy. Don't even think of moving." I held up my hands in surrender. She dabbed Tris's forehead before giving her a shot to numb the spot. We stayed quiet as she worked watching the chaos around us that we were already so used to.

"Any updates on David?"

"He won't be walking anytime soon but other than that you'll live. Would have been worse if you hadn't been there. You're set." She placed a bandage over the freshly stitched wound and began throwing away all of the used wrappers. Tris switched places with me as the nurse began working on my cuts. Several small ones on my thighs, a few on my face, and my shoulders. One of the ones on my shoulder was bad like the one on Tris's forehead but the nurse just stitched me up and sent us on our way.

We moved past several injured people as we made our way out of the hospital, bits and pieces of information told us that another explosion had gone off at the same time as the one we had been hit with. The hallways were filled with people as the doors opened and Nita was rushed in and placed on a cot as she groaned. Everyone here around us was wearing green, they were all support staff GD's. I noticed a few blue uniforms but we were in a sea of green all of whom had wounds like ours or worse. Tris and I shared after she noticed her reflection.

"You need a shower."

"You barely got shot at." Tris shoved me lightly. "We need to find Tobias and Christina first." I nodded my agreement and we took off in search of our friends. Christina we found in the waiting room, her knee was bouncing so much she was receiving dirty looks. She lifted a hand to greet us and then looked behind us.

"You guys alright?"

"Just peachy, but there hasn't been an update on Uriah. I couldn't find his room." Tris answered.

"These people are driving me crazy, they won't tell anyone anything. It's like they think they own him or something." Christina vented.

"They'll tell us when they know something for sure." Tris tried to comfort her.

"Maybe they'd tell you but definitely not me." Christina scowled.

"I have to find Tobias but I'll come sit with you after okay?" Tris offered.

"They didn't tell you?" Christina looked between the two of us. "He was arrested, I saw him sitting with the invaders before I came here. He was seen in the control room, they said he disabled the alarms."

"Where are they?" Tris asked, ignoring the pity in Christina's eyes. Tris and I searched the compound before we found an empty corridor lined with soldiers and people sitting against the wall with their hands tied in front of them.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" a woman shouted at us. We must have looked like a mess covered in blood and bandages.

"Shelly," A man jogged over. "That's the girl who saved David."

"Still, what are you doing here?"

"We came to bring you an update." Tris offered Shelly the piece of paper she had been holding. " David will live but he won't walk for a long time. Most of the injured have been cared for."

"Do they have a casualty count?"

"Not yet." I pitched in.

"Thanks for letting us know."

"Listen." Tris shifted her weight from one foot to the other. "Do you think we could talk to him? Just for one second?" as she gestured to Four.

"We can't-"

"Let her, what could it hurt?" The male guard cut her off.

"Fine, Two minutes." Shelly said as she nodded to Four and he began to move towards us.

"Tris-"

"You want to know what your friends did?" Her voice was shaking in anger as she put space between her and Four. "They weren't after the memory serum, They wanted the death serum so they could kill people in the government." Triss hissed at him.

"I didn't know-" Four looked down.

"I was right, you didn't listen to me once again. Uriah was standing right in front of one of the explosions they set off. He's unconscious and they don't know if he'll wake up."

"What?" Four hissed.

"He's one of the last friends I have." Tris's voice broke this time. "I don't know if I'll ever be able to look at you the same way." Tris turned and began to walk away. Four searched my eyes for answers.

"You know I'll always love you but we should have listened to her." I whispered before I followed Tris. We made it back to our dorms and Tris headed straight for a shower. I slipped out of the clothes I had been wearing and into a large sweater that landed at my knees. I pulled my knees to my chest as I wanted for the others to get back. Cara entered the room to inform us that Uriah had been moved to a more visible room after Christina had raised hell. Tris got dressed as I slipped on some tight pants and we followed her to the new room. Uriah looked like he was taking a nap despite a few minor scrapes on his face. Christina was sitting with him when we reached the window. I replaced her so that she could get some food and take a nap before she came back. Tris and Cara went with her. I held his hand as I waited for him to open his eyes or for him to make a joke.

After hours of silence besides the sound of the machines keeping him alive I laid my head down on the edge of his bed. Tris shook me awake after what felt like a few hours.

"Get some dinner and head to bed. I'll watch him." I nodded and followed a crowd from the hospital to dinner. I ate by myself and as soon as I was done I headed to the dorms, Christina and Cara were there both sleeping. I quietly climbed into bed and slept away the tears that threatened to spill.
