"Dalian mo, baka mamaya bigla na namang sumulpot 'yung nakalaban mo kanina."

The two continued their journey after defeating the zombies. Malayo na sila sa mga zombie na 'yun at mukhang maayos naman ang direksyon na pupuntahan nila. Kimberley cannot sense anything.

She is aware that her senses developed. If something is about to approach, she'll notice it first. Malaki talaga ang binago sa kaniya ng virus. She got no idea what happened to her, why she didn't turned like others.

The virus is lethal, that's what Laelyn said to her. It has no cure. Ang itinurok sa kaniya ay ang pampabagal lang ng virus.

She was stopped when an idea crossed her mind.

The virus is still in her body. And, the chances of her, still turning into zombie, is big. So, at the end, she will still die.

What the heck.

"Bakit ka huminto? Hindi tayo pumapasyal lang dito, para lang ipaalala sa'yo. May humahabol sa'tin---,"

"Sa'yo. Ikaw lang ang hinahabol, ikaw lang naman ang tumatakas." Katarina crossed her arms and raised her brow on Kimberley.

This bitch.

"Why are here, then?" Kimberley copied her pose but with a mocking smirk.

"To see you being caught? It would be lovely."

"Ugh! Whatever." Katarina couldn't do anything but to roll her eyes. She's done with this girl.

Nagsimula siyang maglakad palayo sa babae habang nakabusangot ang mukha. Tumawa lang si Kimberley saka paulit-ulit na tinawag ang pangalan niya. She frustratingly faced her.

"I got no time to deal with your nonsense, Kimberley. I want to live, and if you're just going to play with me all the time, fucking quit!"

Natahimik si Kimberley sa biglang pagtaas ng boses ni Katarina. She knows by now how mad the woman is.

"Okay, then. I'm just going to tell you that you're on the wrong direction." Tinuro ni Kimberley ang daang dadaaanan sana ni Katarina. "Four footsteps weren't bad, I bet you can deal with them."

As if nothing happened, Kimberley put her hand inside the pocket of her hospital gown and started walking on the other direction. Katarina released an unbelievable sigh as she watch how calm Kimberley is.

She's walking as if time was hers, and there is no danger here. She's really absurd. Feeling cool. Umirap siya saka sumunod sa kung saan man pumunta ang babae.

Well, she got no choice.

"Any updates about the two?"

The whole organization is still at panic. Up until now, they still got no idea where the two could be. The cameras around can't even see them. They don't know what's happening.

"I don't want to get you mad, but another patient escaped. A man."

"Fucking idiots!"

He almost throw the ear piece he's using but he stopped himself. These patients are getting out of control. They got their courage, huh?

Umupo siya sa swivel chair at sinilip ang mga monitor sa harap niya. Pinatong niya ang baba niya sa kaniyang kamao. Frustration is evident all over his face as he tried to observe every places he can see at the television.

I'll make them regret their actions.

"Nagkakagulo na sa labas."

Sa madilim na parte ng organisasyon, isang babae ang nakakulong. Basa ang katawan niya ng pawis at makikita ang paghihirap sa mga pasa at sugat sa katawan niya.

"Ano naman ngayon?"

Umangat ang tingin niya sa taong nagsalita. Nakaluhod lang siya sa malamig na sahig habang nakatali ang mga kamay. Tumawa naman ang taong ito at naglakad paikot sa kaniya kaya muli siyang nagbaba ng tingin.

"Gusto ko lang sabihin sa'yo na isa siya sa mga naging dahilan ng gulo na 'yun. Nakaka-proud ba?"

Natigilan siya. Kahit na walang sinabing pangalan ang taong ito, alam niya na kaagad kung sino ang tinutukoy nito. A smile was drawn on her face.

She survived.

"But don't worry. You two will reunite soon. Maybe alive, or rotting at the hive." The guy laugh devilishly which upset the woman. What a psycho. "Bye bye for now. I'm doing my job now."

"Yeah, be a puppet again. Ungrateful bastard."

The guy stopped walking. He then stared back at the girl who's now looking down again on the floor. He smiled for no reason. Hindi na siya nagsalita pa at kaagad na tumalikod at lumabas ng silid.

"Hello, kanina pa tayo dumederetso? Ano nang balak mo?"

Sa totoo lang, naiirita na si Kimberley kay Katarina. Habang naglalakad sila, wala na siyang ibang ginawa kundi ang magreklamo nang magreklamo sa direksyon na pupuntahan nila.

Akala niya ata body guard niya ako.

"Naghahanap ako ng CR."

"What the fuck!"

Huminto siya at patigilid na hinarap si Katarina habang nasa loob pa rin ng bulsa ang kamay. She raised her right brow because of her response.

"Maglilinis ako ng kamay. Mabaho."

Walang pake-alam siyang dumeretso sa nilalakaran niya. Umikot naman ang mata ni Katarina saka padabog na sumunod na ikinangisi naman nang palihim ng babae.

She, truly, is going to the comfort room because she had to change her clothes. She can't fight with these...hospital gown. She'll look like someone who just escaped a mental facility.

The smell of the rotting liquid in her hands make her want to just cut it. Malamang, mahihirapan na siyang tanggalin ito kapag tuyong-tuyo na. Shit!

Mas dinoble niya pa ang bilis niya sa paglalakad kaya narinig niya ang mahinang dabog ni Katarina. She even heard her cursed her but she didn't budge.

Natutuwa nga siyang makitang nagiging sunod-sunuran si Katarina sa kaniya, 'e. What an achievement. Mahina siyang tumawa bago lumiko sa isang pasilyo kung nasaan ang CR.

She need to rush. Kailangan niya pang makarating sa center ng Nyasaaa.

At the other side of the structure, there's this man who's struggling fitting himself in the narrow tunnel.

Mabibigat ang hininga niya habang sinisilip ang bawat sulok ng ginagapang niya. Sinisilip niya rin sa mga iilang butas kung may tao ba o halimaw ang nando'n.

He escaped. Nagkaroon siya ng lakas ng loob dahil sa nabalitaan niyang may nagtagumpay na makawala. Now, what he needs to do is find the two person who also escaped for them to get out of this place.

Although the certainty of better world outside is unclear, they must at least get their selves out of this hell.
