Interlude - The Angel's First Life

There's two young winged people lying under the shade of one tree in the middle of flower field.

One of them having a pair of wings that looks alike of raging fire, so bright and so vibrant.

The other, having two pairs of wings that have opposite colour. One bigger pair were beautiful black while the smaller one was pure white.

The two of them looks so peaceful and free there. Even though one of them had no one else other than the other one, while the other one had a weight of many people in the future.

"Hey,"

"What?"

"If someday, just if someday I might heavily hurt and have no chance of survival,"

There's a gasp from the boy laying beside her, and he suddenly sat up, startling the girl.

"There's no way I would let you hurt! Let alone had an injury that bad!"

The girl who now on half sitting position, with her arms supporting her, made an eye contact with the boy.

His black hair that fading into gray(white?) at the edge covering both of his eyes. Even so she knew that he's on the edge of crying. He always do when he saw someone that had injury or getting hurt.

She giggled before get on sitting position and drew her legs into her chest.

"It's just if, my prince. That's the point. I know that you wouldn't be able to see me, your beautiful favorite servant, getting hurt."

He blushed against her word, and put him palm on his face.

"But, just if this favorite servant of yours is dying, will you hold me in your arms 'till my last?" She said solemnly.

"Of course," he said with confidence, before turning quiet, "I will."

"I might couldn't be able to not cry, but I won't leaving you. Not when you dying and obviously when I could protect you myself." He said the last line with the same confidence as the first.

"Ehehe, then I'll took your words as a promise, my prince." She said that with her brightest smile, the one that always there when only two of them alone.

Even so, this one is felt a bit like a goodbye for the boy.

He chooses to ignore it for the time and just following her back home.

'I won't let anyone hurt you, not anymore. Even if it's another angel, I'll fight them to keep you safe in my arms.' He promised to himself. ' Even though that might be my fall someday, I don't care as long you still alive and living by my side.'

Unknown to him, she also made a promise that day.

'I won't let anyone that want you die to come near you, my savior. Even if it was another angel like you, I'll fight them. I swear on my phoenix blood, that I'll always be yours and protect you. Until the end of time.'

The two of them that time doesn't realize, that their simple will to protecting each other might be something bigger.

Something that might or not might be caused by fate that weaving it's way to them.

Something that even time itself couldn't stop or prevent it.
