6 | More than one babies

Bella was shocked to be pregnant. She thought she was having one child. The thought of having more made her worry. She couldn't even provide for one baby. How was she going to provide for more?

"M-My B-B...babies?" Bella stammered.
"Yes, you are having more than one baby." Doctor Jones smiled. "But this is a rare kind of pregnancy. You need to be very careful in the third trimester to deliver healthy babies and to be healthy yourself.  "R-Rare pregnancy?" Verona asked, looking confused.

"Yes, Bella here will be having quadruplets."
Both Bella and Verona were stunned again. How were they going to take care of and provide for four babies?

Seeing their reaction, Dr. Jones continued, "There is an option where the mother can do surgery to remove two of the fetus in the early stage of the pregnancy. It is..."

"No! I'll keep my babies!" Bella shouted, cutting off Doctor Jones.

After a series of tests and instructions from the doctor, they left the hospital.
On their way home, they started talking.
"I am going to move," Bella said.

"Move?" Verona questioned. "Where will you be going?" Verona had just become friends with Bella, and it didn't seem as if it was going to last long.

"I was thinking of moving to Montpelier Vermont,



I don't want my babies to be born in this city. I don't want my so-called family to know about them. At least not yet. If they knew about them, I would have no other choice than abortion, but look Verona..."

Tears started to fill Bella's eyes. " They are my children, you heard the doctor. She said that this pregnancy was very rare. Rare... and these babies are growing inside me, of all persons, me.  I don't even know their father, and I know I'm being selfish for moving, but I want to start fresh, away from these bad memories. Maybe one day my children will get to know their father. If I find him and he is in a relationship when I get back, I won't let him know about them. If he is single, I'll tell him, and we can work something out."

"I'm coming with you!" Verona said as soon as Bella finished.

"What?" Bella's sea-blue eyes were opened wide, showing many emotions. She was shocked, happy, and guilty, but she felt that someone cared.

"I can't let you ruin your life and dreams for someone like me."

"I'm coming with you. You are my friend, and I will stand by your side no matter what. I won't be throwing away my life or dreams going with you. After all, I'll be a godmother. I can't miss that opportunity. We can help each other out and provide the best home for my God-babies. Okay." Verona had her reasons for leaving New York, She wanted to forget that she was the cause of her adoptive parents' death.

Bella was so happy, she started crying. Verona hugged her and then said. "Stop crying. My God-babies will end up being a crybaby like their mama."

Bella smiled. "Thank you, you're the best. I never thought I'd find someone like you. At least not after what I've been through."

Bella looked at her dearly. After arriving at Verona's house, they started planning what they would do. They already had three million dollars in total. Half of which Bella got from her bank account and selling her house. The second half was what Verona's adoptive parents left her in their will. 

Moving to another city was a big deal, but they had to do what needed to be done together.

A week later, Verona sold her house, and they left New York. They took a cab, so it would be harder to trace them.

Verona, being Verona, effortlessly hacked into the main camera system attached to the stoplights in the city and removed all traces of them being there, off the grid.

After two days of driving, they arrived at their new house. It was in a safe neighborhood, close to the town, and the view was spectacular.

Before moving, they bought a four-bedroom and a BMW 5 Series.

They had money, but they still wanted to work and go to university. Money wasn't going to last for long.
