61 | MEMORY

Brain caught Bella then looked towards the bartender.

"How many drinks did she have."

He bartender shook his head and pointed to the shot that he just served, "This one would have been her first."

Brian checked Bella and realized that she was burning up. He then paid the bartender and paid then left with Bella.

Brain had a vehicle so it was easier and convenient. He placed her in the passenger seat and fastened her seat belt. After which he went to the back of the vehicle for a small pouch. Brain then went back to the driver's seat, but before he drove off, he took out a needle from the pouch, filled it with a fluid and injected Bella.

Brian drove to the hospital. Some tests were done and when the doctor returned, he told Brian that Bella was three weeks pregnant and that was why she fainted. He also prescribed some medication for the fever.

When the doctor left, Brian was deep in thought. 'Katelyn didn't give me enough money for this. I like Annabella, but not to the point where I will raise a child that not mine.

Before heading to the hospital, Brian injected Bella with a serum that will make her loose her memory. As long as she continues taking the medicine, she won't remember. He had planned to kidnap Bella if the scandal between her and Carlos did not work.

Seeing as how Carlos didn't have his way with Bella Katelyn had made sure to have a backup. So Katelyn informed Brain that he did not work. Brian then followed Bella to Kay's house then to Adane's villa the to the hotel. After seeing Bella at the bar Brain called Katelyn and informed her. They had to use the chance that they had today. Bella was going to take Bella and Katelyn was going to try and get with Adane.

As Brian was lost in thought, Bella opened her eyes to see a white ceiling with white lights. She blinked for a while to adjust to the new setting.mafter which she turned and saw an unfamiliar face. "W-where am I?" she asked.

Brian fained a surprised look, "Honey you're up?" He turned towards her. "Your at the hospital."

Bella looked at Brain and did not recognize him, 'why was this man calling me honey? Are we in a relationship or something?' "Who are you?" She asked.

"Honey, I'm your husband. You fainted an hour ago so I took you to the hospital." Before he could continue Bella cut his off.

"What's wrong with me, is it bad, am I going to die?"

"No," Brian chuckled, "your okay." He paused for a while, "The doctor said that you fainted because we are going to have a baby. Your pregnant honey." Brian forced some of those words out of his mouth. It was all apart of the plan so he had to put up with it. Soon he would take Bella away and live the life he has always wanted. Katelyn also made a deal with him that she would support them monthly so Brain had to put up with it.

As soon as Bella found out that she was pregnant, she instinctively touched her stomach.

She then looked at Brian, "So are you the father?"

Brain began to get nervous but he soon breathe a sigh of relief when Bella giggled and said "What am I asking, you are my husband after all, how could you not be the father?"

Brian was happy to know that the injection had worked. He smiled at Bella and nodded.
Bella then continued, "I don't remember anything that happened, I don't recall seeing you before nor marrying you. Not even when we made this..." She looked at her stomach.

Brain started, "Our house burnt down a couple days ago and we lost everything." Brain leaned forward and removed some strands of hair that was on Bella's face. "I was also informed by the doctor that you might have suffered a small amnesia due to in the incident because... Because..." Brain paused for a while, tears started to form in his eyes and then beads of tears fell one after the other, "Because, O-our daughter d-died."

Bella was shocked. She lost a child. Her heartbeat sped up, tears welled up in her eyes. She then tried to sit up and Brain helped her. "How... How old was she?"

"Twel... Um... She was two years old."

Bella placed her hands over her mouth.

"How exactly did she... Did she die?"

"I'm not sure what caused the fire, but when I came home that night I saw that... The house... You were outside crying and I asked you were Brianna was. You said that she was inside the house and you couldn't find her and the smoke... It was getting too thick and you couldn't breathe properly and you fainted. A neighbor was able to pull you out before the firemen came.
They tried to go back in to save Brianna but then it seemed as if the gas line exploded. The explosion was so big, there was nothing anyone could do to save her.
When you woke up yesterday you didn't remember what happened the day before. I thought it was best not to tell you, but you deserve to know everything. The doctor said that you might have suffered a small amnesia due to the incident. You remembered me yesterday but I don't know why you don't remember me now."

Brian had to make the story believable. The only reason why he was able to cry was because of his sister name Brianna, who is sick. He pretended that Brianna was the child in the story he had made up. The story was fabricated before hand. Katelyn had promised that she would pay for Brianna's medical fees, so he had to do his best.

Bella started crying. She had lost a child and she couldn't remember who she was or what she looked like. She felt devastated.

After a few minutes, Brian asked; "Honey, could you tell me what you remember?"

Bella paused for a while, you could see that she was thinking very hard.

"I-I... I know that my name is Annabella Cain and that I have a twin sister Hanna-kay Cain... Umm, I am eighteen and..." Bella covered her mouth, I was engaged to Carlos White and then he cheated on me with my sister... Well the night before I cheated on him too, but at the time I thought it was him, it was a stranger though..." Bella was blabbering and then she was cut off by Brain.

"I'm no stranger."

"Wait, it was you?" Bella pointed at Brain, shock laced in her voice.

"Yes... But you are not eighteen, you're twenty four. I was able to find you two days after we spent the night at the hotel. We fell in love and got married and then we had a daughter..." Brain wasn't completely sure about the details but he knew Bella's real age. Katelyn had told him.

Brian had to make sure that the story was seamless, nothing unturned. Bella had to believe it. His sister's life depended on that. On the other hand, he didn't mind being with Bella, she was good looking, her voice was soft and there was something about her that he couldn't quite wrap his fingers around. But he was drawn to her. He planned on giving Bella the best life.

Tears just kept coming in Bella's eyes. She couldn't believe all that has happened. How could she forget that many years, "So you're telling me that I don't remember the last six years of my life?"

Brain nodded then showed Bella some medicine that she received that would help her to remember and that she should take it every other day.
He decided to give Bella the medicine and make her think that it would make her get back her memories but infact it would do the opposite. "We lost a child and God gave us another. This time I'll make sure nothing happens to him or her."

After Bella was discharged and they went to the car, Bella asked Brain where will they be living now since their house was no more.

Brian told her that they would h staying at a motel for the night, then they would leave for Pennsylvania the next day.

When they arrived at the motel, Brian was going to purchase a stay for two beds but they said that it was all booked out.

They went into the room and Bella went on the bed, she then patted the side next to her, "You can sleep here if you want, even though I don't remember you, we have been married for a few years now and you sleeping on the sofa won't be fair for you. We've both been though enough and you are suffering more than me because I don't remember what happened but you do. So just make yourself comfortable."

Brain nodded and laid on the bed beside Bella.
