53 | UNEXPECTED

"Why?"

"I want to use the bathroom."

"I can take you there."

The scenes of the night before flashed in Bella's head. "No. I wasn't able to go to work today, and I want to go tomorrow."

"Okay, just thirty minutes then, you will get plenty of sleep for tomorrow."

Bella giggled, "Is Adane Crawford begging me?"

Adane placed her on her feet, He wasn't planning on begging her anytime soon. Bella giggled.

"Brother." The coupled heard a hoarse voice coming from behind.

They looked towards the sound to see David looking devastated. Adane knew that look, that's how he felt back then when he couldn't find Bella.

He then asked his brother, "Know that you know, what will you do?"

"Call the family doctor."

Adane knew what David was thinking, so he called him. Soon Bella went to the kitchen to prepare some tea.

"Drink this, "Bella gave David a cup. She didn't know what was going on, but seeing David looking like that, she couldn't bear it. She knew he was not Adane, but seeing that face looking so distraught, she had to try something.

David took the tea and drank it, "It tastes good, thanks." He then remembered the first time Annabella cooked for him. If he hadn't cheated on her back then, things would have been different.

The doctor arrived shortly after. He then took blood samples from both David and Abby. He told them that they would receive the paternity results in a few days, then left. 

"I'm going to check on the kids, you both can continue talking."

After Bella  left, David started, "It's not her."

"Why did you ask for a test?"

"I think Annabella is still out there somewhere. The lady in the picture  resembled her, but that's  not her."

"Do you have a picture of her?"

David took out a picture from his wallet and handed it to Adane. "The lady in the picture looks older than her. Annabella may be a year or two younger than Bella."

"She was seventeen? Were you out of your mind? You are like ten years older than her."

"There isn't a big difference when you look at you and Bella. They are basically the same age."

Adane shook his head.

"I'm staying over," David said leaving no room for discussion.

Adane didn't mind. David did have his room. The brothers talked for a while before going to their respective rooms. When Adane opened the door he saw Bella and the five kids sleeping on the bed. It warmed his heart at the site. At first Adane thought of taking the kids to their room, but seeing as he didn't want to wake them he lifted Bella.

Feeling that she was being carried, Bella jolted out of her sleep.

"Where are you taking me?"

"To my other room," Adane said.

"All of us could have slept on the bed, It was enough to hold all seven of us, the kids are small you know."

"Did I ever say that I want to share you with my kids."

Bella blushed, "You're a bad father."

"Are you sure the kids would agree with that?" Adane smiled. 

Soon they entered the Bedroom. Bella was shocked to see that it had the same layout as the room she was just in. It was also the same size. Adane gently Placed Bella on the bed, it was just as soft. Seeing the surprised look on Bella's face, Adane felt happier.
