Bella let go of Adane, "Sorry about that."

"No need to be sorry." Adane replied and wiped the tears from Bella's eyes.

Bella sniffed then finished wiping the tears from her eyes. She sat and showed a small smile on her face.

"Come in." Adane answered.

The waiter entered with the food then left.

Bella immediately dug in, she knew it was not proper etiquette but she wanted to calm down. Adane followed suit. Soon all the dishes on the table were finished. Bella looked up, only to see Adane staring at her. Bella blushed. She could not tell what was running through his mind at the moment. They both looked at each other until the atmosphere became awkward.

Adane was just about to say something when his phone rang. He took it from his pocket and answered it.

"Hello dad."

"You need to come to the hospital now, your mother is sick." Ben said.

"I'll be there as soon as possible."

"Okay." Ben replied

Adane hung up. "Sorry Bella, I need to leave, my mother is sick."

"Okay go, I hope she gets well soon." Bella smiled.

"Adane got up, went to the door, and put his hand on the knob. Before he turned the knob he asked, "Would you like to come with me?"

Bella shook her head, "No, I need to go back to the company then check on my kids. Hurry and go."

"I'll call you," with that Adane left.

Bella sat there feeling a little lonely, she missed him already, missed his hug. She looked back on what just happened and what she said. She started blushing. 'Can't you control yourself, you've been dreaming about that night for the past six years. Hell nahh Bella, how do you think he will look at you now?' Bella lectured herself silently.

After a while she decided to leave. She got up and opened the door. The waiter was waiting at the door.

"Hello madam, are you finished with the meal?" Miss Brown asked.

"Yes, may I ask what the bill is?" Bella replied.

"You don't need to worry about it madam, Mr Crawford already paid for it."

"Okay thanks," Bella gave Miss Brown a generous tip and left with a smile.

Bella drove back to the AHM building in twenty minutes. She didn't know what would happen next, but she was glad she told Adane about the children.

...

At this time Adane arrived at the hospital. He rushed to his mother's ward. When he opened the door, Jane lying weakly on the bed, his father looking stressed, and his brother holding his mother's hand.

"Mom, what's wrong, how did you get sick?" Adane sounded concerned.

"Come here son," Jane called.

Adane walked closer to his mother looking depressed. It had been quite a while since he visited them. He didn't know that his mother was sick.

Adane knelt down beside his mother and held her other hand. "What's wrong mom?" he asked tenderly.

"You lied to me that's why I'm here." Jane bellowed.

"What did I lie about?" Adane asked

Jane adjusted herself in a seating position on the bed, "Do you know how long I've wanted a grandchild, and better yet, grandchildren? You and your brother, tell me now, which one of you is hiding my grandchildren?"

David looked at his mother as if he was looking at a crazy person. 'Did mom really call us here just to ask which one of us is hiding her grandchildren?'

"Mom, isn't this going too far, we left work just for this. Why were you faking? You could just call and say you miss us, then ask us to visit you." David said with a small trace of irritation.

"Would that work? You two are not filial, you leave me to suffer." Jane complained

"We don't come because you always nag us about getting married and having children." Adane replied.

"Well isn't that what you should have at this age? You are both thirty, other men your age are waiting for their grandchildren to be born. What about you, the two most handsome men in the city, and guess what? They are lonely, and are workaholics. Well now that you know I'm not sick, I'll tell you the reason I called you here. I want your hair samples."

"What are you going to do with that, make grandchildren" David laughed.

"David, don't laugh at your mother." Ben commanded.

Adane smiled, he was in a good mood from this morning, and he wasn't going to tell them about his children yet. At least not until he met them officially for himself.

"I'll comply, just don't ruin my hair do. I need it to find a wife and give you grandchildren." Adane laughed

"Yes, hurry so I can find a date." David followed.

Ben called the doctor to get the hair samples from them. After the doctor collected four strands of hair form them each, he left.

Jane smiled, she was going to get the results by tomorrow.

They talked awhile then Adane said he had something to do. He hugged his parents then left. David followed behind him.

"Hey, do you know why they are doing this?" David asked.

"I don't care, let them have fun. As long as they are happy." Adane replied. It hadn't cross his mind that this was related to his children.

Adane went back to his office in a good mood. To him, a lot of things have happened, and they were all in his favor.
