49 | HIDING

"Who?"

"Who else could I be talking about Bella," Verona teased.

"I don't know." Bella replied.

"Are you planning on staying with him even if he doesn't want to get married?"

"I don't know Ver."

"So what's your plan after this?"

"Well, I'm planning on dealing with the business first then after I will think about my relationship with him. I-I really love him. I know it's been three months and all but we already have kids together. I know that he is rich and I wasn't planning on him being rich, but I guess I'll have to deal with it. It's not like it's the end of the world and I know that I am not with him for the money."

"There's been something that I wanted to tell you." Verona had a smile on her lips,

"What's that?" Bella asked.

"Well, I'm pregnant."

Bella's eyes widened, she started screaming.

"Calm down Bella." Verona hushed her, she didn't want to draw any attention to the booth.

When Bella finally calmed down, a smile plastered on her face, "It's about time, I was wondering when you were planning on giving me a god-baby."

"Yeah, yeah, you still have to wait eight months for her though."

"Is it a girl?"

"Nahh, I don't know, I hope so though. Mario says he wants a son, but I'm sure it's a girl." Verona laughed.

Soon after the waiter came in and took their order. The friends chatted and laughed and soon Bella left to take up her kids.

When Bella arrived at the school, she did not see her children in site.

"Where are my kids." Bella asked their teacher

"You- you came and picked them up about half an hour ago."

"What! I did not. I just got here."

The teacher began to get nervous, she was sure that Bella was the one who came and pick them up.

"Miss Cain. I did see you earlier, you should check home, I'm sure they are there."

"Do you think I'm crazy, don't you think i would have known if I took up my kids. If i did show me what proof you have?" Bella was sure she hadn't gone mad, she was just talking to Verona not long ago."

"Give me a minute." With that the teacher went to the surveillance room and after confirming that Bella was the one she saw, she went and called Bella.

"This way miss Cain" She motioned Bella into the room.

Bella watched the footage and saw someone looking exactly like her come and take up the kids, she was sure it was Kay.

Kay was in a Yellow dress and had on dark shades.

Bella watched the surveillance video and saw that Kay and the kids entered a red Bugatti Royale, and then it drove off. Bella shook her head, Kay was spending the one hundered million dollars without consideration. She could have used the money to help with the company, but she was just waisting it on herself. The vehicle alone cost about two and a half million dollars.

The teacher looked at Bella awaiting her response, she knew that she was not lying and she had this to back her up. Seeing Bella shaking her head confirmed that she was right.

"Do you believe me now?" She questioned in a mocking tone.

Bella looked at her then smiled, "I'm sorry for shouting at you earlier, please forgive me." 

The teacher was surprised, most of the students that attended this school were form rich families, and this was the first a parent was apologizing to her after they had made a mistake. The teacher thought that Bella was like the others. She was speechless. She then nodded.

Bella knew that the only way the teacher would have recognized Kay and knew that it wasn't her was if she looked into Kay's eyes. 

"Can I talk to you privately?" Bella asked. 

The teacher nodded. She really thought the Bella was mad and that Bella was going to pay her to keep silent about the episode that just occurred.  Just as Bella was about to talk, the teacher held out her hand. 

Bella looked at her with curiosity. "Miss why are you holding out your hand, are you hungry, or are you begging for money?" Bella asked, you could here the mockery in her voice."

Hearing what Bella said, the teacher got embarrassed and put back he hand to her side.

"I just apologize to you for shouting at you, I'm sure that after I watched that video, you thought that i was going senile. I hate to burst your bubble, but you are the one that is at fault here. I wasn't the one who too up my kids. That was my sister. Now do you still want the money, I can give it too you if you want. Bella started to open her purse. 

The teacher felt more embarrassed, she wanted the earth to cover her up. "No, no... Miss Cain I'm sorry for the misunderstanding."

Bella smiled then took out her phone. She searched for a picture of Kay and showed it to the teacher. "Look at her eyes and look at mine." Do  you see the difference?" 

The teacher nodded. 

"When I come and take up the kids in the afternoons, please make it your duty to check that  it's really me okay."

"Yes Miss Cain."

With that Bella left. 

Bella went back in her car and dialed Stephan. At this time Stepan was in Adane's office talking about some business contacts. When his phone rang, Adane looked up on  him. After looking on the caller ID, Stephan felt agitated. 'Why was she calling me? Why didn't she call Mr. Crawford?' 

"Aren't you going to answer the phone?" Adane questioned.

"Um, I-I..."

"Who is it, Is there something that you're hiding?" 

"No sir."

"Then answer the phone." Adane looked at Stephan.

Stephan answered the phone. "Hello madam, how can I help you?"

"Why did you take so long to answer the phone?" Bella questioned. 

"I was a bit busy," Adane looked up at Stephan after he spoke. "How may I be of service?" Stephan asked.

"I want you to tell me the location of my sister. she took the kids from school."

Stephan now had a worried expression on his face. Adane now wanted to know what was getting Stephan all worked up. Stephan tried to remain calm. He wanted to ask Bella why didn't she call Adane, but he didn't want to ask this in front of Adane. 

In truth, Bella wanted to call Adane but she was upset as he was hiding his and Katelyn's relationship and she didn't know what to say to him at the moment. 

"Okay, I'll see what I can do. Would you like for me to ask Mr...." He was cut off by Bella

"No, just give me their location as soon as possible." Bella then ended the call.

After the call ended, Stephan could not look Adane in the eyes. His children were missing and he knew he could not keep that from him. He also didn't want to betray Bella's trust. 

Adane looked at Stephan intently. Without looking at Adane, Stephan asked, "Sir, may I take my leave?"

"Why aren't you looking at me? Have you done something wrong?"

"No, sir I haven't" Stephan looked at Adane, trying to mask his worried expression."

"Is it important?"

"No, I mean yes sir." 'why was he asking me all these question. Did he know that madam was the one that called?'

"Are you saying yes or no?" Adane asked.

"Yes, I was saying yes sir." Stephan felt like an idiot at that moment, he cursed Bella in his mind.

"More important than these reports?"

"Um, I-I..." Stephan didn't know what to say.
