24 | DNA SAMPLE

Bella smiled, "We'll just have to find out." Bella was really confident in herself as she took everything into detail form the document last night.

"Is Miss Cain flirting, or is this how she treats everyone she comes in contact with?"

Bella blushed, "N-no I-I" Bella stuttered. 

Adane smiled. "It's okay, I don't have a problem with you liking me." Adane then stood up, "Are you coming."

"Where?" Bella asked looking confused.

"Are you going back on your word? I thought you were inviting me for lunch."

"Oh that, I meant to say that I am the lunch." Bella smirked when she saw Adane's composer changed and he swallowed. Swallowed deep. Bella Burst out laughing. "I'm sorry, I was just joking." She chuckled. "Was just trying to get back at you, Of course I'll be taking you to lunch." The first sentence just slipped out of her mouth, Bella had to use a good cover story. 

"Miss Cain is being a little too naughty." Adane's voice was now laced with a hint of jealousy, "Is this how you make jokes with all your business partners?"

"No, I would not." Bella quickly defended herself. 

"Are you sure?"

"You are questioning my morality?"

"No, but if you are ready we can go now."

Bella stood up and the both left the office.

On the other side of the city, Ben and Jane came to have lunch with the children. They went to a five star restaurant close to the AHM building.

"Grandma, you're looking gorgeous today." Camila complimented.

"You too grandpa, you are as stunning as ever." Charlotte followed.

Ben and Jane smiled. They really hoped these children were their biological grandchildren.

"It will be a while before the waiter comes back with our food, we have something to tell you." James started to get down to business while Jeremy took out two folders and handed them to Ben and Jane respectively.

"We have already started our investigation and we think that the man in the pictures may be our father. We are not sure yet but we would like to get your input." Jeremy stated.

Ben and Jane nodded and opened the folder. They were stunned to see that Adane was the one in the picture. Their hopes were now up. They couldn't utter a word. Was it possible that these were Adane's children? It would be very good. They enjoyed the company of the children.

Ben cleared his throat, "So you are saying you think this man is your father?"

The children nodded. Jane wanted to hug them now. She was sure that they were her biological grandchildren. She planned to get their DNA sample and test it with both of her sons just to make sure. Jane smiled, "Okay, since you think that it is a possibility he is your father then, we will try our best to see if we can get any DNA samples from him."

"But Grandma, isn't it going to be hard to get his DNA sample. He is like the most secretive person in this city. Is there a chance for you to get his DNA information, much less close to him?" Jeremy asked looking doubtful.

Ben and Jane looked at each other. "We have connections with him, we also know his parents. His parents would really love to know they have perfect grandchildren as you. I think it is possible for us to get his DNA sample in a days time." Ben replied.

The children cheered, they were one step closer to finding their father. "Thank you grandma, thank you grandpa." They said in unison.

At this time the waiter came back with their meal. They ate and talked. After the meal was finished, they decided to go back to the AHM building. Before they left, Ben and Jane collected two sets of hair samples from each children. They said goodbye and Verona received them at the entrance of the AHM building.

She knew Bella was kind, but Bella had just met this couple and entrusted her children to them. Verona sighed. 'Bella you should really know how this world works, luckily nothing happened. I even hired a body guard to watch them. I can't let anything happen to my little pumpkins.'

Ben and Jane sat in their car still trying to figure out how these children got the information of Adane so quick. They were really geniuses.

"We need to call Adane and David, we need to know if those children are a part of our family. I can't wait."

"Calm down honey, we can call them and tell them something urgent has come up." Ben said. "I have a plan, let's go home first."

Jane sighed, her sons barely visit. This was because she always urged them to get married and have children, but she didn't know that was the reason they were so distant. It will most likely take a miracle for them to come.

At this time Adane and Bella arrived at the same restaurant where her kids and Adane's parents just met. They were greeted by the waiters and Bella booked a VIP cubicle on the third floor close to the window. The waiter showed them the way and then left.

"I guess Miss Cain really knows my taste." Adane smiled.

Bella nodded and lowered her head. She didn't want to look into his eyes. When she did it felt as if she was swimming in them. She didn't know why, but she was attracted to this man. The same man who got her pregnant, the father of her four children.

"Is there something wrong Miss Cain?" Adane questioned

"No, nothing to worry about. I just feel you are familiar somehow."

Adane smirked, "How familiar?"

"U-um, I don't know...My c-children look a lot like you." Bella's heart was pounding, she just took the first step. She felt something was burning in her chest.
