Two weeks after the incident, Bella got to know Verona more. During these two weeks of being together, her mood improved, and she started feeling better. She told Verona what happened. Verona wanted to fight them, but Bella stopped her.

"Don't do that. I've got a plan, and it takes time, but they will pay for what they have done." Bella wanted them to feel what they wanted her to feel.

Bella hadn't been in contact with Carlos, Kay, nor Her parents since the incident, and she was planning on keeping it that way.

She was kept updated on them and found out that they changed the wedding date to a month's time and she was not the bride. The bride was her backstabbing twin sister.
Her parents didn't even search for her. They just let her be. All that mattered to them was a face.

They had a very strong reputation in New York as the Cain's and would do anything to let it grow higher.

She had sold her house this morning, not wanting to live close to Carlos. She moved in with Verona one week after the incident, and they were living comfortably. Verona gave her a feeling of home.

It turned out that Verona was a ferocious hacker, but she also majored in business and clothing. She had a passion for it.

When Verona was two, she was abducted from her biological parents. She didn't remember much of the past, but she ended up in a foster home.

A year later, she was adopted. On her nineteenth birthday, her adoptive parents were coming from the mall. They had just bought Verona's gift and were planning to surprise her, but that surprise didn't come to be. They met in an accident, and both died the following day.

Verona blamed herself. If it wasn't for her, they would still be alive. Bella was on the verge of tears when she heard what had happened to her new friend. She coaxed Verona and told her that they would always have each other. Bella felt that Verona was a good friend.

Lately, she had been feeling noxious. They didn't pay any attention to it until Bella almost fainted. That's when they decided to go to the hospital. The doctor came into the ward, and what he said shocked Bella and Verona. "Miss Bella, you are two weeks pregnant. Let's go to the gynecologist's department to check on your baby. You need to make sure that your body is healthy and to have a healthy baby."

Verona was smiling as she turned to Bella, finding her face filled with emotions she couldn't read. "Bella, are you alright?" She asked

Bella was in her world.
'What am I going to do with a baby? I don't even know the father. I haven't started university. How am I going to care for this child? What will they call him when they know he doesn't have a father? How am I going to provide for him? I don't have a job..."

A series of questions ran through her head, but she knew that she was going to keep this child. This child was her blood, she can live for this child, and she would do her best to raise him.

"Bella, are you alright?" Verona asked again, waving her palm before Bella's eyes.

"Yes."... She turned to the doctor. "I'm ready."

While doing the ultrasound, the doctor's mood changed. He left the Ward.

Clutching Verona's hand, Bella asked, "What's happening to my baby? Is he okay?"The doctor will be back, don't worry," Verona reassured her.

Before the doctor left, he was frowning. The doctor didn't even tell them what happened. He just said that he'll be back.

Two minutes later, the doctor entered the Ward with another doctor. She seemed quite older and more experienced. The doctor introduced her as Doctor Jones. "Hello, I am the head doctor for the gynecologist department at the hospital. I'll be in charge now."

The male doctor left the ward.

"What happened to my baby?" Bella asked anxiously, rubbing her abdomen. Doctor Jones looked at the monitor and smiled. "Your babies are doing fine. They are very healthy."

Bella and Verona's mouths were left agape... Babies?
Was she having twins?!
