25 | TRUTH

Adane stood still, 'She kept my child, and she just said children. Was it the two boys I saw at the Mall yesterday?' Adane was excited.

He cleared his throat, "Your children? How can a beautiful young lady like you have children already? You said they were similar to me, how similar?"

"Yes I'm young, but I have children, I don't see anything wrong with that. My boys also look like you?" Bella answered.

"Is that so? Do they look like their father also?" Adane asked.

"Yes they do." Bella answered looking Adane straight in the eyes. 'Why is this so hard to tell him that he might be their father, this is so frustrating.'

Adane's heart was aching, 'she said her children looked like their father, did she abort my child, and had children with another man? Why is she now here to tell me about her children? Children that aren't mine. What's her purpose for saying all these is the kids aren't mine?' Adane thought.

Adane faked a smile, "Their father must be a very lucky man."

"He really is," Bella was now blushing, her face was burning.

Adane didn't notice the changes on Bella's face. He was focused on the 'fact' that Bella abort his child, and had children with another man. Not even feeling any remorse that she killed his child. He clenched his hands into fist. He was angry, but not at Bella. He knew that he might have done the same thing. He should have found her the next day after he took her, and not go on that business trip.

Bella looked at Adane and realized that he zooned out, she called him but he did not respond. Bella lifted her hand and waved it before Adane's eyes. Adane then snapped out of his trance.

"Sorry about that. So where is the father of your children, may I have the honour of meeting him. By the way, are you both married? I realized that you only have Cain as your last name."

"No my children's father and I are not married, we are not in a relationship."

Adane smiled, maybe he had a chance to be with her, as for her children he could think about that another time.

A knock sounded at the door. A waiter entered. "Sir, Madam, I am your waiter for today. I am Miss Brown, would you like to take your orders now?"

"Yes thank you." Adane replied then turned to Bella. "Miss Cain, what would you like to order?"

"I'd like the Thai steamed fish with chilli and lime along with some red wine, what about you handsome?" Bella looked at Adane?

"I will have the same as this beautiful lady here along with some roti and stirred fried vegetables, curried mutton. That's all."

The waiter nodded then left.

"Miss Cain thinks I'm handsome?" Adane smirked.

Bella blushed, "I mean... yes you are, that is an undeniable fact, every woman in this city and beyond would agree with me. It's a little weird being called Miss Cain, I'm not used to it. You can call me Bella outside work."

Bella felt she was getting some confidence, she decided to get everything out before it went away. "Mr Crawford, um, about my..."

"You can call me Adane, Bella. Now, what were you saying?"

"Do you remember me saying my boys look like you?" Bella asked
"Yes, Is there a problem?" Adane responded

"Well, the thing is... On the night December twenty-nine, at the AB hotel. I went to the wrong hotel room, I went to your room. I don't know how I made the mistake but I did. The room was dark. I didn't turn the light on. You didn't either. You just pounded on the bed. At that time I thought you were my fiancé, I was expecting him that night. I thought you were my fiancé at the time, so I kissed you. You took control over that kiss and immediately turned me on. That night was my first and to tell the truth, you pleasured me, you pleasured me good. Words couldn't explain what you did to my body that night, it was so good." Bella was blushing hard. "It was the first time hearing some words coming out of my mouth, but I didn't want to stop. Over the past few years I dreamt about that night. I don't know why, but that's what you did to me... I ran away the next morning, I know I should have stayed and confronted you. At that time I was young and foolish, I didn't know what to do. I was engaged, I didn't want any news about my affair go public and destroy my family's image, but you took me that night. I don't feel sad about it, I don't blame you. I approached you first. Plus you gave me four adorable children. The little angels that I can live for. I know you might think this is strange, a total stranger coming to you saying you are the father of her children, but this is the truth. You might not accept me in this life, but I can't live on knowing my children don't have a father growing up with. You're the father of my children, even if you don't accept me I hope you accept them. You can even do test to prove that what i am saying is the truth"

Tears were now streaming down Bella's face, she got it all out, even things she thought she would have kept to herself.

Adane got up from his seat and helped Bella up from hers. He then hugged her. His heart was aching for Bella, she must have went through a lot raising his kids.

"Don't worry I'm here, I'm sorry I wasn't there to keep you company due the pregnancy, to help you raise them. I'm sorry, it's all my fault." Adane felt guilty but, he was happy, Bella kept his children knowing the struggles that would come, she came back to find him and he planned to give her the best.

Bella sobbed on Adane's shoulder, She got her past out. She didn't know what would happen next, but time will decide. She was now only focusing on being embraced by Adane and taking in his lemon scent.

"So you believe me?"

"What's there not to believe, you are telling the truth right?"

"Yeah." Bella giggled...

Adane's heart melt when he heard her laugh.

They hugged for a while, and then there was a knock at the door. "It's the waiter, Miss Brown, may I come in?"
