"No she does not know her, the young lady who is in the delivery room saved my life and she fell. I am responsible, Susan." The old man answered Verona.
"I'm not Susan, I am Verona... She did what!?"
Hearing what she said, a spark flashed through the old man's eyes. "She saved my life and I'm here to see how she is doing. Don't worry she will be okay. My family owns this hospital"
Verona mumbled something, but no one heard.
Soon the signal light on the door turned green and a doctor in blue scrubs exited the room. Before the doctor could take off his surgical mask Verona asked,
"Is Bella okay, Are my God-babies in good health?"
The doctor nodded then said, "The mother is okay, she is now resting. All four babies are alive and healthy.
"When can I see her?"
"You can see the mother after twenty-four hours. We are still running some tests."
"Can I see the babies?"
The doctor shook his head apologetically, "Sorry, the same conditions apply to the babies."
"Okay," Verona nodded.
"She'll be okay, don't worry," Hayden comforted Verona. "By the way, do you mind me taking a DNA test with you?"
"I have nothing to lose." Verona smiled.
They left the corridor, leaving the old man behind.
After taking the DNA test, the doctor told them that the results will be out the next day in the morning. They nodded and left the office.
"Um... Aunt, who is the man that Bella saved?"
"That's my father, Matthew Young. If you don't mind, we would like to help raise the babies if you need help. I know we are strangers and we have just met, but take it as our gratitude to you for saving my father's life.
Verona thought for a moment then replied, "I'm not sure, I'd need to ask Bella first. Thanks for the offer."
...
The next day Verona came to the hospital. She wanted to see how Bella was doing. She went to the ward that they had paid for when the doctor told them that Bella should stay at the hospital two weeks before delivery. But Bella was not there. Verona felt something was wrong. She ran to the nurse at the receptionist's table on the first floor and asked about Bella. The nurse replied that she had been transferred to the VIP ward on the eighth floor.
Verona literally ran to Bella's ward.
When she approached the door, she heard her laughter.
Verona knocked on the door then entered. She came in and saw Hayden, Matthew, and Bella. She greeted everyone and scooted to Bella.
Verona hugged Bella. "Are you okay? Are you feeling hurt?"
Bella shook her head "I'm doing great. Sorry for making you worry."
"It's nothing. Now, where are my God-babies?" Verona smiled
Bella smiled too and pointed over to the left side of the room.
The babies were all asleep on a soft bed. The cute little people were wrapped in colored blankets. Two in blue and two in pink. Bella had two girls and two boys. It was a miracle that these babies survived the accident the day before.
"Have you named my cute God-babies as yet?" Verona smiled. "The father must have done some magic to make them this cute."
"Yes, I've named them," Bella replied, trying to hide her blushing face.
"What are their names?" Verona asked smiling.
