3rd PERSON POV

Luke stood anxiously outside his younger brother's room, his hand resting on the doorknob. He wanted to enter and make sure his two siblings were okay... However, as their sobs gradually subsided, he became hesitant, not wanting to intrude upon what seemed like a delicate moment. Hence, with a deep breath, he reluctantly withdrew, deciding to leave them for the time being, and ask questions later.

He let out a heavy sigh and ran his hands through his hair in frustration. With weary steps, he turned back and made his way to the kitchen.

In the absence of their maid, Mrs. Sara, who had taken leave due to the tragic news of her son's death and his wife, leaving their little boy behind, Luke found himself responsible for cooking dinner before heading to his night shift. Mrs. Sara had traveled to a different country to attend the funeral and take custody of her now orphaned grandson, leaving Luke to take care of things at home during this difficult time.

Mrs. Sara, their longtime maid, became like a mother to the boys as she lived with them for years. When they moved to their new house, Luke asked her to come along and become part of their family.

Sara was not only a wonderful and kind woman but also had a genuine affection for the siblings. Recognizing the positive impact she had on their lives, Luke wanted his siblings to have someone like her around. When he asked her to join them in their new home, Sara gladly accepted the offer, happy to continue being a caring presence in their lives.

As Luke passed by the living room, he spotted Noah sitting cross-legged on the sofa, engrossed in an anime on TV. A bag of potato chips lay open on his lap, a snack to accompany his entertainment. Luke couldn't help but smile at the sight of his brother enjoying himself. "Noah, no more snacks, dinner will be ready soon" he said in a gentle but disapproving tone.

"Okay," Noah replied obediently, rolling the bag of chips closed and placing it on the table. With a sense of responsibility, he then returned to his previous spot on the sofa, ready to patiently wait for dinner while enjoying his anime show.

Luke nodded approvingly as he headed towards the kitchen, feeling proud of his brother's good manners. Noah had always been a docile and obedient boy, never picking up quarrels or arguments. Luke couldn't help but feel grateful for having such a well-behaved and considerate sibling.

He thought of making something simple like pasta with béchamel sauce and a salad. Maybe some potatoes for his sister as she was strangely obsessed with potatoes.

Once again, Luke sighed deeply as he began preparing the ingredients in a large iron pot. Just as he was about to put the pasta into the boiling water, he was interrupted by a loud cough

Looking up, Luke was surprised to see his older brother, Damian, standing there. Damian rarely came home on weekdays, so his unexpected presence was unusual.

"Hey," Damian said wearily, his fatigue evident in his appearance. His eyes were bloodshot, and his shoulders were slumped, showing the weight he carried.
