No matter the direction they went, downhill would certainly lead them to the beach. As it turned out, despite this, there was still a difference between going west or south. Jungkook later explained to Leah that, since he knew uphill pointed north, and Omani village was more or less south, that meant they wanted to go west to reach the beaches as fast as possible. Leah laughed embarrassingly and shared that she thought she was terrible at knowing where to go. Jungkook smirked back, he had seen just how bad she was, and telling her that earned him a slap on his arm.

The rest of the trail was fairly calm and they stayed within less than two arms of each other as he paved the way and she followed. She felt guilty at times that they were going too slowly because of her, but Jungkook would often look back and smile at her, looking well rested after their break and fairly content. She liked that he looked at ease, so she would just smile back and try to erase those thoughts.

They were so diligent with going west that they arrived at a cliff, only one completely hidden in the jungle, surrounded by it. They could barely see the sky from the top and the view was nonexistent, so that wasn't the right place. Jungkook leaned over and tried seeing if there was a way down.

"I guess we found a cliff in the end," Leah joked, looking for a safe way around it.

He turned back to her and she grinned. "You're not funny," he said, crouching on the floor.

She gasped, "I am funny!"

He put his legs out of the rocky edge and put his tongue out in a grimace before disappearing completely.

"Jungkook!" She yelled, rushing to kneel and peek down.

He was about two meters lower on a rock platform. She observed around him. It looked like from there, they could descend a couple more rocky edges, maybe use a few tree branches, and they'd go down significantly faster.

He extended his arms to her. "Just put your legs on the edge and let yourself drop."

"You know we could go around..." she suggested, not a fan of doing dangerous things.

He smiled playfully, "You know I will catch you, right? You don't have to be scared." Leah blinked, surprised with how light everything was between them. He smiled gently, "We'll get to the beach faster this way."

She looked around and sighed — she didn't actually see a clearer path than that one. She tried not to tremble as she turned to slowly put her legs outside the edge. She leaned on her belly supported on her forearms with the totality of her legs dangling. She was making an effort to sustain her torso, trembling all over, instead of letting go.

Hands touched her legs. "You can let go, I got you."

Easier said than done, but she did. She slid down along the rockside with the tip of her shoes scraping the surface until the floor stopped her. Her body fell backwards but Jungkook was there to catch her. He had his arms on either side of her, making sure she had nowhere else to go but between them. She used his arms to regain her balance and took a deep breath.

He didn't move, observing her profile, her nervousness. He felt like he was playing with fire, but it was amusing. All men enjoyed playing with fire, it was inevitable.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah," she murmured, coughing out the dust lightly.

Once he turned, she observed her arms, they were bleeding from scratching the rockside. Well, that was a lesson learned.

"Alright, next one."

He was already going down the next edge, flexing his biceps without a care in the world. She sighed, she didn't have that kind of strength, so she'd have to learn how to fall along rocks and trees and not get hurt.
