Jungkook was sitting at the dinner table with his head hanging on his hands when the front door opened. His first thought went to Namjoon, then he bitterly realized that was impossible. Then he thought of Leah and raised his head to see.

"Good morning, Jungkook. How are you feeling?" Ella smiled softly.

His eyes jumped from her to Aaden, and seeing no one else coming through the door, he didn't react.

"Hey," Aaden added. "Where's Leah?"

"She left."

Aaden looked at Ella, who returned his worry.

"I'll go and find her, I'll meet you at Ethan's."

Ella turned and left quickly, leaving the men, and Aaden turned to Jungkook, "Come on, let's go. We have somewhere to be."

Jungkook didn't want to stay there sulking, so he got up and followed him out.

"Where are we going?" He asked after a moment.

"Ethan's."

Indeed after a minute, he recognised the street and the house. After going through the ground level where the bureaucracy and organization of the village took place, they reached the first floor.

Maya was at the entrance sitting on a sofa, waiting for them. She got up, pulling a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear with a smile.

"Good morning," she said.

Aaden had seen her already that morning, as he was staying there too, so he ignored her quickly. He knew that wasn't for him. Jungkook, however, only glanced at her with a half-smile and followed Aaden to the meeting room he already knew.

There he found Ethan talking to a woman he had seen before. She was the main figure at the funerary rites. Ethan turned to them with a smile and so did she. Her dark brown eyes burned him.

"Ah, there you are. And Leah?" Ethan voiced.

"Ella went to get her," Aaden answered.

"Alright, we'll start. Jungkook, this is Citra. She's the warrior's spiritual leader."

She took a step forward, always with a stern expression, and reached her right arm forward as if expecting to receive something. Jungkook raised his eyebrows in skepticism, eyeing her hand. She waved her arm curtly and impatiently and he extended his left arm. She grabbed it, nails nearly piercing him while she evaluated his tatau.

"Fine craftsmanship," she praised. Yet her expression was not what one would expect if she found it impressive.

Ethan continued, "So the good news is that the Council agreed to carry out Namjoon and Daniel's plan: a quick surprise attack on the military base where your friends are being kept."

Jungkook's eyes widened, "That's great!"

"Yes, everyone will mobilize today so the attack can be done tomorrow morning." Ethan was very pleased.

"He's the one you've been telling me about?" Citra interrupted with a grimace boarding on disgust. Ethan nodded. "He's weak. All this ruckus because of a boy. You might as well cut his arm off," her voice was spiteful as she pointed to his left arm.

"I dare you to try," he answered quietly between his teeth.

Her lips pulled in a sneer, "Look at him, like a puppy baring his teeth. He's not worthy."

She turned her back on him as if he wasn't worthy of her eyes and Ethan tilted his head. "Daniel thought he was."

Citra's expression sobered and she glanced back at Jungkook over her shoulder. Both Ethan and Aaden wondered what she would say now that Daniel's name had been invoked.
