"Kook..."

Her voice was pleading, yet when he turned, he was glaring so she gave up. They had just arrived back in Amanaki after an hour-long drive of silence, and she followed him home quietly. She knew he was pissed, he didn't react very well to her suggestion.

Back then, he had turned to Aaden, "Can we take one of your cars to go back?"

Aaden was surprised by his stoicism but nodded, "Yeah, take one of the small ones."

And with this she became mad. He had basically ignored her, "Jungkook!"

"We're not talking about this right now," he had quietly told her before turning away.

And no matter how much she tried to argue, it didn't work. Not when she followed him and complained, not when he asked Somsak if they needed help with anything, and not even when he asked if they would wait to see it all on fire.

"No," Jungkook had answered, glancing around the place for a second. She did too, seeing the people being evacuated and the buildings emptied of any possible goods. "I trust you to do it," he finally decided. "This place is sickening." Only then she noticed he was looking at her. "I want us out of here."

Somsak nodded knowingly; he had seen the bodies and heard Leah's arguments being thrown in the air behind Jungkook as he crossed the camp. "Go rest, you've done enough for one day."

He smacked Jungkook's shoulder as he passed by and gave Leah a meaningful look, but she huffed and chased Jungkook. Despite her efforts, he had stayed quiet the whole ride until she gave up on talking.

She entered their home after him and let her stuff fall by the door while he took his equipment off by the opposite wall, by the stairs. He wasn't looking at her, and the more time passed the more insecure she felt. She didn't know what to say, but she needed him not to be mad at her right now.

Contrarily to the night before, she wasn't expecting him to eagerly want to shower with her and hold her. She decided to try to get some sleep despite the sun not having set yet and made her way towards the stairs.

"Wait."

She turned to him with one foot on the first staircase step and he finally faced her. Her heart shook with the anger behind his normally sweet brown eyes.

"I want to talk about this."

"Well, I've been trying," she pointed out, stepping down.

"I know, I just..." He released a deep breath, "I'm just so pissed and I don't want to yell at you."

"If you have to, then do."

He pressed his lips in a grimace and held it in, "Don't do that. Don't fucking do that."

"Do what?"

"Act like this. Act like it would be justified. Act like you're here to take it. Act like you're a fucking bargaining chip!"

She crossed her arms over her chest, "I meant to vent your frustrations—"

"I know very well what you meant!" He wasn't shouting, but he immediately closed his eyes and pressed the bridge of his nose to calm down. "I'm trying to be rational, but your wording is just... You want to put yourself in danger."

"For something bigger," she pleaded, reaching to hold his arms. He moved his hand to look at her, and despite his stern look, she wasn't intimidated. "We can lure him in, you get your friends and then we get him."
