"I'm getting chills." Lubbock commented, running down the empty halls of the base.

He had been awoken when his lines had suddenly been triggered all over the place. "Shit! Where'd all these enemies suddenly come from?" He wondered aloud. "And they're so near!"

He suddenly stopped, one of Dr. Stylish's soldiers having broken in through the ceiling, dropping a small ways ahead of him.

"So they're already here." Lubbock mumbled to himself, readying himself for a fight as he gave a small grin.

"Enemy, must kill!" The soldier shouted, his hands cracking, showing off his large claws.

He charged forward, intending to skewer Lubbock, but the smaller dodged in time, unwrapping his wires and twirling them around the soldier's neck, a sickening crack being heard as Lubbock pulled.

There, that should've broken his neck. Lubbock thought.

"I've got to the join the others though." He mumbled.

His eyes widened in surprise as the soldier tilted his head back, more sickening cracks heard as it looked behind him, right at Lubbock.

He suddenly turned the rest of his body, swiping at Lubbock's stomach.

"That's one down." Ears commented, having heard the exchange from her spot next to Dr. Stylish.

"Hehe, my pawns are tough and unyielding. You mustn't think of them as ordinary humans." Dr. Stylish commented with pride.

Ears's ears suddenly perked up, and her eyes widened in shock.

"What the matter?" The doctor asked, having noticed.

"Somehow, it seems our opponent is just as tough." She responded.

Back with Lubbock, he had wrapped threads around himself, not pulling too hard as to not hurt himself, but tight enough to easily block the soldier's swipe.

"Threads, can also be used like this." He announced. "And!" He started, as the soldier went to charge at him.

He made movements with his hands, a spear made of his string forming. "If I bundle them up, I can do this too." He said, throwing the spear at the soldier.

"Guh, to use them in such a way." The soldier let out, dying.

"I run a used bookstore, I've read of all sorts of ways to use threads in the manga at my shop." He explained.

Another suddenly appeared down the hall, and he turned in shock. "Another one?!"

More appeared. "And... another?"

Even more appeared.

"I-I'm not exactly into the 'group brawl' thing." Lubbock admitted, scratching the side of his cheek. "Later!" He shouted, running off.

The soldiers all took a moment to comprehend the situation, having expected a fight to the death, the fight of their lives.

Only for this guy to run.

They all chased after him, easily gaining ground.

"Uwah! They're pretty fast!" Lubbock shouted, still running.

Akame suddenly leaped out overhead the soldiers, landing between Lubbock and them, blade drawn.

"Stay behind me!" She shouted.

"Akame!" Lubbock let out happily.

The soldiers charged at the two, but Akame made quick work of them, only needing one nick to kill one man.
