Shit!
Wave dashed out into the forest, having finally recovered from Kurome's sneak attack.
Esdeath and Okami are further in the Palace holding a War Council, so I have to go and find her on my own! She couldn't have gone far, they're probably gonna fight somewhere close by! The sound of explosions, yelling, anything! If I can just get a hint, I'll find her!
He grit his teeth as his mind travelled back to the kiss she'd given him. Where are you, Kurome!?
...
The Capital, Underground.
"The assassination unit had all been put to sleep." A woman stated, wearing a mask as she walked up to another man.
"Good, administer nutrients to them in preparation for the final battle." The man responded. "And, they probably came in contact with the traitor, just to be safe, double the usual hypnosis. To make it clear to them that betraying the Empire is wrong, if they get any weird ideas and go over to the other side at the final battle, they'll be tortured." He added.
"Is that so?" The two froze up as a man made his presence known, stepping into the room from a door down the hall.
"Who are you!?" The man shouted, pointing a finger out at the new appearance.
He smirked. "My name is Zun, and I'm here to inform you that this project is being shut down." He responded, bowing politely.
"Shut us down? Do you know who we are?" The man asked angrily, stepping towards Zun.
"I know what I need to, and I've been instructed to use force if necessary." He replied, smiling as he closed his eyes.
"Force?" The man laughed at that, and he pulled out a controller, clicking a button on it.
...nothing happened.
"Huh?"
Another voice was heard behind Zun, a smaller woman who always seemed to be in a foul mood called out to him. "Zun! Sade said he just finished up on his side, from here to the surface, the whole place has been wiped." She said.
Zun smiled back at her. "Thanks Zoe."
He turned back around, and before the man could say anything else, Zun drew out his blade, slicing clean through the man in one solid motion, blood flying out in a line behind him.
The woman screamed, and turned to run to the exit, but a large woman moved to stand in the way from the other side, blocking her escape.
"Apologies miss, but you're just as guilty." Zun stated, walking forward.

On the outskirts of the Capital, in Giyo forest. Despite being near the Capital, the deepest part of this gloomy forest is known to be inhabited by Danger Beasts, so people stay clear of it.
Kurome was waiting peacefully on a ruined stone, at a broken down Training centre.
Akame stood from afar as Kurome finally noticed her.
"Sis!" She called cheerily.
"Kurome." Akame greeted, less cheerful.
"Huh? I sense someone." Kurome stated, looking between two different directions.
"Sorry, two of my teammates are behind me, but they won't interfere with our fight, they'll only take on anyone who tries to interrupt us." Akame explained. "They understand what we want."
"So you've got people to see you off, how nice." Kurome said, jumping down from the broken stone pillar.
"If you say so, sis." Akame mumbled.

Acción"You sure this'll work?" Shobu asked, holding the rare ore in his hand, glancing at Okami, before hesitantly looking over at Esdeath, who was waiting patiently for them. "Yes." Okami responded, taking a heavy breath as he held up his own ore. "Alrig...
