Okami couldn't help but grip his fists in frustration as he watched the abomination Cosmina had been turned into exit the Alchemist's facility, he couldn't help but notice it had gotten bigger since the last time it had gone out.

"It looks disgusting." Someone commented from beside him, their breathing sounding uneven.

He glanced over, finding a tall lean man coated in sweat looking out the large window as well.

"Zun, you're done already?" Okami asked, turning fully to look at another four soldiers, who were still struggling with doing the thing he'd assigned them to do.

Someone let out a loud gasp, desperate for air as they stood back up fully, leaning against a large cement block for support.

"You said it yourself last night sir, in order to make sure we live to see the next day, we've gotta train until we can't anymore, it's safe to say that we all woke up with a newfound determination this morning." Zun stated.

Okami kept a straight face as he overlooked the other four, the three left finishing their training shortly after.

"Get in a line." Okami ordered.

Zun and the other four immediately did so, and he stood in front of them, crossing his arms behind his back. "Raise your left hand."

They did so.

"Raise your right hand." He then said, carefully eyeing their arms.

They listened once more, and he smirked. "Good."

He walked behind them, towards the multitude of objects lying around the room that had been used to train.

"Turn around to face me." He stated, looking around.

He found them.

He picked up a cubical block of Iron, about the weight of an average male, and looked towards the five people.

A couple swallowed down their shock at how he could pick such an object up with just one hand. "Zun, catch." He ordered, tossing the block of Iron over to him.

Zun flinched as the Iron was suddenly above him, and shakily managed to grab into the block, which he kept above him.

"Good, Zoe, you're next." He threw another block of Iron at Zoe, a smaller girl with an ever present frown. "Fuck!"

He did such for the other three as well, a taller lady named Masuki, a quieter man similar in stature to Zun, Sade, and a larger man, easily almost as big as Budo himself was, Hizonon.

Why was he doing this? Okami, that is.

The reason for that is simple.

It's exactly as Budo said.

Many of the General's who are stronger and have more renown are older people who are starting to get to the age where they need to retire, but Okami had done research on the Empire's army, very little has been done to secure that the next generation is just as strong, if not stronger, so Okami had taken it upon himself to scout out for uncorrupted talented younger people to help lead in the future.

I'm going to have to talk to Najenda regarding the Empire's army if they end up successful, no, when they end up succeeding. Okami thought. I'm sure she'll trust me enough to keep all of the positions the same, so I can make sure this whole situation doesn't happen again, but whoever the new leader is is going to need to be real understanding, because there's a lot that needs to be changed.

He heard a knock at the door, and turned to see Banoi enter, with some papers in hand.

He took one look at the five before him, and sighed. "Sometimes I think you're harsher than Budo was." He mumbled.
