Standing firm just outside the cathedral, Seryu looked forward stoically, a small frown on her face.

She felt uncomfortable, Okami wasn't around at the moment, and it irked her that the other Jaegers were all going around finding something to do.

She didn't completely mind however, as she had more time to think over her predicament.

The demons, she's considering killing one of them, or even Bolic himself, to get favour from Night Raid, and join them.

Esdeath, who was just walking around the area, noticed the expression on Seryu's face. "Is something the matter, Seryu?" She asked. "You look so serious."

"Captain." Seryu started, before sighing.

There are two people she can trust to open up around, Okami, and Esdeath. "It's that Bolic guy, he's too snobby for his own good, it makes me wonder if he's even worth guarding." She admitted.

"He's nothing more than bait to draw out Night Raid." Esdeath calmly replied. "Just think of it that way." She added.

Seryu smiled a little. "You're right, thinking about it like that, it's a bit easier."

"You're too tense, if you want to carry out your mission well, then I think a change of pace is needed." Esdeath said.

"But, what should I do?" Seryu asked back.

"Good question." Esdeath looked around, before taking notice of a couple of kids playing with Koro. "Let's try this."

"Hey, you youngsters! The owner of that dog says she wants to play too!" She shouted out to the kids.

"C-captain!" Seryu addressed, feeling a bit embarrassed suddenly.

"It's time for a break, a little unscheduled recreation never hurt anyone." She quickly replied, patting Seryu on the head.

She calmed somewhat, and nodded her head. "Ok."

...

A sudden gasp echoed throughout an alleyway, and a man coated with dirt stood up with some effort, before bringing a hand up to his throat.

"That was fucking dirty, that weird-eyes bastard is gonna get it."

But still, I'm surprised that worked so well, seems that trump card I made works pretty well. The figure thought, something receding from all around his body, disappearing.

...

Mine and Tatsumi took a seat at a small makeshift campfire the two had set up for themselves, sitting on different logs respectfully, staring out at the city from the barren outskirts.

Tatsumi sighed as he leaned back on his palms. "Phew, we sure walked everywhere." He mumbled.

"I gotta admit, this place is so diverse, it's intriguing." Mine said, sitting straight with a big smile on her face. "When all this is over, I want to do some shopping here too." She added.

"You take so long shopping, it'd last days." Tatsumi mumbled, Mine's words bringing back bad memories.

"Huh? That's usual. Completely normal." Mine responded, looking at him with a small grin. "A guy who can't let a woman shop, is narrow minded." She teased.

A tick mark appeared on Tatsumi's face, as he shot back. "And a girl so quick to call a guy "narrow minded" is narrow minded herself."

A tick mark appeared on Mine's head, before she stood up, Tatsumi standing in quick response.

That's it! I think it's time you're put in your place! You're so cheeky lately you know?!" She shouted.

"We're the same rank! So just you saying "put in your place!" Shows how wrong you are!" He shouted back.
