Meeting

Shobu listened carefully as Tatsumi explained what had happened to him, finding the whole ordeal rather surprising.

Tatsumi had made the, rather kind, offer to explain things where Shobu was resting, so that everyone knew just how strong Esdeath is.

But there was another reason, they could all tell.

"Finally, there's one more thing." Tatsumi said, scratching the side of his neck. "Do you all remember Okami? One of the Jaegers?" He asked.

"Yes, he was the one that was there when we had rescued you." Akame replied instantly.

"Yeah, I think I remember him too, remember that one offer we had that month we were all training?" Leone asked, remembering the instance.

Mine and Tatsumi both froze up at that. "Yeah, that was Okami." Tatsumi mumbled.

"Him?" Mine asked, recalling the event. "What does he want?"

"He wants to meet Shobu..."

Everyone went silent at that.

Shobu was one of the only members where nobody outside of Night Raid knows he's actually a part of it, for someone to call him out by name...

"This must be big then, this isn't something that can be ignored, when does he want to meet me?" Shobu asked, immediately taking control.

"He wants to meet you tonight, at the mountain peak where I had been transported the night before, he said he would bring along one person of his choosing, and that you can as well." Tatsumi explained.

"Only one? I think it's a trap, we should have Akame follow them." Chelsea butted in, adding her opinion.

Many head switched between Akame and Shobu, but Akame shook her head no. "He's far too perceptive for us to try that, he was able to figure out about Lubbock's strings easily when we had tried to assassinate him before." She stated, earning a nod from Lubbock.

"So, do we just let him go?" Mine asked.

"It seems like that is our only option, we don't know what Okami might do if he is not met." Susanoo chimed in.

Everyone turned to Najenda, who had a hand under her chin, thinking.

"We should let him go, but whoever he picks has to be someone he could fight alongside, in case it is a trap."

"We should start crossing people off then, I can't go with Mine, for safety reasons, Chelsea for the same reason, Susanoo wouldn't be at full power unless Najenda was around, which breaks Okami's rules, he can see Lubbock's strings so he's out, Tatsumi still needs to get a bit stronger honestly, which leaves Akame and Leone." Shobu said, going through the list in his head.

"Akame would be safer to bring, but it also depends on who Okami brings." Tatsumi commented.

"Akame is also an already known member of Night Raid, while Leone is not, so that means it would be best if Akame went with you, Shobu." Najenda stated.

"Ok." Akame said, nodding her head.

Shobu smiled. "Well since we've figured that out, can someone bring me breakfast? I wouldn't want to fight on an empty stomach." He asked.

"I'll take care of him as well then." Akame added, not noticing Leone lightly frown at the words.

"Alright, the rest of you, get some rest, we'll be doing something big soon, and I also have a mission request, so we need to figure out who should go on that." Najenda ordered, dispersing with everyone from the room.

"Wait, seriously?"

Seryu was baffled at the news that Okami had just told her.
