"Phew, that tunnel took a lot longer to make than I expected!" Leone commented, back in her human form.
Shobu looked at her, and found himself letting out a laugh. "I was stunned for a moment, I forgot that you had a lioness form and a human form, shocked me for a sec when you changed back." He admitted.
Leone laughed, turning towards Shobu with a glint in her eye. "Oh? Did my beauty amaze you that much?" She asked teasingly.
"Yeah right, you need to clean yourself up first, we both have dirt and dust all over us." He replied.
"Oh? And here I thought you'd like a girl that's dirty~" Leone teased, pushing up her bust as she leaned in towards him.
Shobu leaned in as well, lightly holding the bottom of Leone's chin and turning it to lock eyes with him. "I do~"
Leone blushed red, recoiling a bit.
Oh? So she's not used to being on the receiving end. He noticed.
"What? Why the sudden distance? I thought making people uncomfortable was your whole thing, getting too close for comfort and all that." He asked, moving closer to her.
The two were next to each other along the wall, but Leone had backed up against one of the side walls.
"Huh? Haha, oh, y'know, I'm just teasing, it's not like I actually mean any of it." She nervously replied, scratching the back of her head.
Shobu reached out a hand, gently touching her waist, and Leone shivered at the touch.
"Leone~"
"Yup! Aha! I just remembered that Akame wanted to give me something she had cooked up earlier, see ya!" She shouted out, flustered beyond belief as she ran down the other end of the tunnel.
Shobu watched as she ran, a bit surprised, before he smiled, letting out a huff. "After everything I've tried, looks like I finally made some progress." He mumbled, jogging after her.
...
"General." Bolic started, moving one of his chess pieces up.
He was sitting down with Run, playing chess, while Esdeath watched, standing just behind Run. "You need only serve as my bodyguard for two more weeks." He informed her.
"Two weeks? Oh, that's right, it'll be the Religion's founding day, there'll be a grand festival." Esdeath remembered, her voice almost sounding indifferent.
"Yes, the grounding work has finally been laid out, I'm going to have the found priest killed, to make him a true Holy Ghost. And then, in front of all the believes gathered there." Bolic smirked devilishly. "I'm going to name myself the new head priest." He said, moving forward his last chess piece.
Run bowed his head. "You've beaten me."
Bolic laughed. "Hahaha! You've got natural talent, but you still lack experience." He said.
Esdeath and Run left Bolic's room soon after, walking back down the halls of the Cathedral.
"I will gut him myself soon if he continues to not be mindful of his words." Okami stated, suddenly appearing beside Run, walking alongside him as they followed Esdeath.
"What has happened this time?" Esdeath asked, sighing.
"He had disrespected her name, Wave had to hold me back, I feel a bit bad because he had to transform, but Bolic is getting on my nerves." He stated, his gaze low.
She looked back at him, and smirked.
That aura, it seems he's starting to become a Wildcard.
Okami had changed a lot throughout the month, he had torn down all his walls, saying everything as he truly thought of it, and trained to hell nonstop.
