The Palace Courtyard.
"EEEE! It's Akame!" One man shouted, looking out to another in horror.
There were a couple of guards to protect them, but not enough to stop the three female assassins.
"What's she doing here!? I thought our defences were supposed to be impenetrable!" The man continued to shout.
A man wearing a Plague Mask suddenly walked out from an area further inside the Palace, fixing one of his sleeves. "You managed to slip through my traps, I'm impressed that three of you could make it here. You loathsome traitors."
A sickle extended out from a device on his arm, and the man stood in front of the two targets. "I'll tear you to bits and feed you to the Danger Beasts." He stated.
"Heh, all the targets in one place." Leone commented, smirking.
"And a Teigu wielder to boot." Seryu added.
"He probably specializes in protecting the Palace, don't let your guard down." Akame reminded.
"Koukei, Dousen! Find shelter inside!" The Plague Doctor ordered, the two men immediately fleeing.
The three charged forward. "Leone, Seryu, go after the targets, I'll handle this guy!" Akame ordered.
"Got it!"
The two charged through the field towards the targets, and the Plague Doctor suddenly smirked. "That position, perfect. Activate Teigu."
He clicked one of the buttons on a device attached to his arm, and the two stopped for a moment as a bunch of small beads suddenly popped up from the ground.
Wait, this is.
Seryu's eyes widened in horror, and she immediately dove forward, an explosion suddenly going off behind her, launching her further forward as Leone, who'd been caught up in it, was suddenly flung backwards.
Seryu grit her teeth as blood splattered out around where Leone landed.
She's transformed, she'll be fine, but the targets.
"Tell Leone to catch up! I'm going ahead!" Seryu shouted out, standing back up and running off again.
Akame only nodded her head, dashing forward to kill the Plague Doctor.
The Doctor managed to raise his blade in time, blocking the strike.
Tch, an assassin of this calibre on the Rebel Army's side, she's better than the rumours say.
The Doctor dashed back to avoid another swipe, putting some distance between the two, and quickly clicked another button on his Teigu.
Akame took a step forward, before noticing a shifting noise below, and quickly jumped back, having to dodge and evade a number of spears that skewered upwards from the ground.
She stood still once more as the spears stopped, and the Doctor smirked underneath his mask.
"Your Teigu aside, you're a strong one. You have experience fighting on enemy territory, where it's riddled with traps, not many assassins survive having that kind of experience." He complimented.
She heard a noise behind her, then a groan.
"Leone! Seryu went on ahead, go catch up!" Akame shouted.
"Bastard, yeah!" She shouted her acknowledgment, and ran off, still sore from the explosion, but recovered thanks to her Teigu.
Tch, Akame is seriously a problem, I can't go help the V.I.P.s if she's here. The Doctor clicked some more buttons on his Teigu, and arrows suddenly shot out from different positions along the walls around them.
