"What are you doing!? Run away!" Tatsumi shouted desperately, noticing that Mine was alone.
"I came to save you, and this is how you greet me?" She smirked. "I'll have to punish you later." She said teasingly.
Tears pooled in Tatsumi's eyes. "You, you idiot."
Esdeath's eyes widened as she glanced up at Tatsumi. "...what?"
"Her face matches the one on the wanted posters, are you alone?" Budo asked, not at all concerned.
"That's right!" She shouted. "I'm Mine from Night Raid! I heard you had my dunce of a boyfriend, so I had to come and save his sorry ass!" She shouted, an icy glare appearing on Esdeath's face, subconsciously using her Teigu in her anger.
"Mine, you're really something." Tatsumi commented, a small smile falling on his face.
Mine smiled back. "We're going home now."
"The others?" She asked.
Tatsumi looked away. "I don't know about Shobu, but Lubbo..." he said nothing more, as Mine understood completely.
"Akame's not here, but we can probably assume she'll come soon." Budo commented, looking over at Esdeath.
"I know, something like this happened before." She responded.
Mine stared down both Budo and Esdeath fearlessly, as Budo crossed his arms in an X.
"I will execute, all dissenters. Adramelech." He held out his arms, an orb of crackling electricity gathering between his hands as he drew on his Teigu's power.
"Just you try it." Mine dared, holding Pumpkin out.
He threw the orb anyways, which left a trail in the ground from its pressure as it flew towards Mine, who blasted back.
The beam and the orb met, Budo's eyes widening in shock. "What!? Such power!?"
Adramelech was overpowered, and the beam slammed into him, sending him through the wall of the arena and perhaps beyond.
At the Capital's execution site, she was on her own. Taking on Great General Budo, and the nation's strongest, Esdeath. Esdeath took it as a personal blight.
She formed three large rows of icicle spears around her, hovering in the air over a thousand strong, and pushed her arms forward, the icicles all shooting out towards Mine.
And Mine, faced with this fresh attack, and certain death, Pumpkin's energy was sublimated to a fire power never before seen, as Mine swung out her Teigu in an arc as she fired, dismantling every icicle down to the last from the immense strength of the energy beam.
She glanced down at her Teigu, checking it over. "I did it! I haven't overheated it yet, it's a good thing I did some maintenance after what happened with Seryu and Suzuka." She mumbled, glancing back at Esdeath, a bead of sweat dropping down her face.
Tatsumi stared at her in shock. Mine, wow. No, wow doesn't even cut it, this is no suicide mission, she's serious about getting me out of here and back home, even under these circumstances!
She's quite a gal, I don't deserve her. He thought, smiling.
"I'm taking Tatsumi back, Esdeath!" Mine announced.
"I'm not handing him over." Esdeath responded, standing between the couple.
Atop the arena, Okami was laughing his ass off as Shobu stated in pure shock. "AHAHAHA! I've never seen Esdeath so pissed before! That Mine girl is quite something!" He commented.
