She moved forward as Mine and Tatsumi stood up, preparing to leave their camp, Koro right on her heels.
Mine looked up first, having heard the footsteps before Tatsumi. "Wait, someone's here!" She stated, holding her case out in front of her.
Tatsumi immediately activated Incursio, jumping in front of Mine and taking a stance. "Who's there!? Show yourself!" He shouted.
Seryu took a deep breath, and raised both her arms in the air, before walking forward, revealing herself to the two Night Raid members.
"That's." Tatsumi realized.
Mine grit her teeth. "Seryu." She spoke darkly.
She kept her hands in the air, walking forward until they were only ten or so metres apart. "Wait, please, I don't mean any harm, I had sent off my ally in hopes that we could talk, but we don't have long, see?" She said, gesturing down to Koro, who held the area thermal scanner in its hands.
Mine glanced at it, and truth be told, there was a small red dot moving away towards the outskirts of the scanner, with three more dots standing at the centre of the scanner.
"Fine, what do you want to talk about then?" Tatsumi asked, feeling his partner's anger behind him.
"My surrender, and a potential alliance, I want to switch sides." Seryu responded honestly.
"Bullshit, why'd you choose to switch now? After all you've done?" Mine asked coldly.
Seryu flinched at her words. "Because I've realized what I've done is wrong, thanks to a friend, and I just never had the opportunity to join you guys before this." She responded.
Mine glared, not believing it for a second, but Tatsumi kept his cool, speaking up again.
"And why should we believe you?" He asked.
Seryu's head dropped a little. "You shouldn't, you have no reason to, I've done so many bad things, and killed so many innocent people, it was only until recently when someone had made me realize my ways, and I felt disgusted with myself, I'm not asking you guys to be my friend, or even a colleague, just let me join you, I don't care if you think of me as nothing more than a disposable weapon." She admitted.
In Koro's arms, nobody noticed how the red dot along the outskirts of the scanner suddenly did a 180, turning back towards the middle and moving rather quickly.
Tatsumi looked back at Mine, who still had a dark look on her face, before looking back at Seryu. "It's not up to us what happens to you, and for all we know you'll be put to hang or worse if we do take you back with us." He informed her, before straightening his back. "But for now, if you can drop all of your freaky weapons, we'll let you come with us." He bargained.
Seryu nodded, understanding. "Koro, number -0, release." She ordered to her Teigu.
Koro nodded his head, before swelling up in size, barfing out all of Seryu's number weapons onto the ground, before shrinking back down, and cutely tossing the tracking device atop the pile.
Mine seemed to drop her guard a bit, still firmly holding onto the case containing her Teigu however.
Tatsumi picked up some rope that was by their campfire, gesturing at Seryu's hands with his head.
She nodded. "Koro, neutral." She ordered.
"Koro." Koro responded, walking beside Seryu towards Tatsumi.
"Neutral mode makes it so he stays in that form unless I order him otherwise, so you don't have to worry about him going berserk." Seryu explained.
This, of course, was a lie, Koro had no such mode, but since their was no box or something to put Koro in, she had to ease their tensions regarding the creature somehow, so what better way than with a lie?
