Okami was silent as he latched onto the edge of the large ice pillar Esdeath created, shooting them up high into the sky to get a good vantage point.
The moment he took in his surroundings, he realized.
This is the perfect place for the commander and Tatsumi to go on a date! I mustn't get in the way. He had thought.
He looked around, searching to see if there was anything that could possibly ruin their date, and his eyes widened as a rather large Danger Beast began to rise from the ground, it's form huge and looming.
Okami growled. Don't you dare! He shouted in his mind, launching off the pillar and landing on a tree, moving towards the large body.
He quickly realized that it's weak point must be that little dummy figure attached to the thing's forehead, and so jumped up.
It swiped a hand at him, but he managed to roll and land on it, scaling up the arm towards the beast.
He rose his hand, representing a spear, and made a breakaway to the creature's head.
It tried one last time to swipe Okami off of it, but it missed once more as he was moving too fast.
He jumped up to the forehead, slamming his hand into the dummy's neck, and the Danger Beast suddenly stopped moving, dropping down dead.
As for Esdeath, she actually saw all of this, but made no comment or move to help. She's got a fair grasp on why he's doing this, thus deciding. "I see nothing, let's go back down, I have a fair idea on where this is anyways." She said.
Tatsumi held on for dear life as the ice pillar receded back into the ground, Esdeath smiling at his expression, which always seemed too cute to her.
Okami jumped up onto the trees again, looking around for anything else.
His eyes widened in surprise as he saw a second Damger Beast identical to the first one sitting up from its laid position on the ground.
"Tch, I don't have time to deal with you." Okami muttered.
He plunged a hand into the ground, seeming to grab something, and pulled it out, a small rock visible in his hand, no bigger than his palm.
"Even something like this." He said, tossing the rock up in his hand. "Can become extremely deadly if it's thrown fast enough." He caught the rock, and drew back.
Wait for it to stop moving and... now!
He threw the rock with as much power as he could, the rock soaring through the air like a bullet, before it made contact with the dummy upon the second Danger Beast's head, practically exploding it.
The second Danger Beast also dropped down, dead.
"Now, where are the two lovebirds?" He wondered.
He began to search around, only to smile to himself as he saw them searching around the large island, getting a grasp on the terrain, and seeming to be enjoying themselves, Esdeath especially enjoying teasing Tatsumi.
Okami shook his head. She really is head over heels for him.
He got up, and decided to continue to do his own little search.
