"Shouldn't you be getting some rest?" Tatsumi asked, walking up to Akame, who was peacefully leaning against a tree.
"Tatsumi, when I think about it, I just can't." She responded.
He smiled. "I wanted to talk to you about that. I'm coming too, I'm going with you." He stated.
"No, this is between my sister and me." Akame immediately shut down.
"I know it's your problem, because it's your problem I'm going to help you out, as a friend." He continued.
"I told Kurome to come Alone." She said.
Tatsumi sat down next to her. "Yeah, that's why I won't bother you two, no matter what the outcome. But there's no guarantee she'll come alone, right? Even if Kurome wants to, someone might follow her." He said. "So if that happens, I'll get rid of them."
"Tatsumi, but the boss told you not to do anything before the final battle." Akame monotoned.
"That's only because she's worried about what I went through last time I equipped Incursio. That Teigu doctor said I could last four more times, so I'm supposed to avoid equipping it, but even if I end up having to use it again tonight, I won't regret it." He explained.
"It's not like I want to die, I've got Mine, I don't intend to go past four times, but even though I have the power to fight, I'm just sitting behind relaxing, if something were to happen to my friends in the meanwhile, than I'd... I'd!" He gripped a fist, sneering at the thought.
"Thanks, Tatsumi, that's very kind of you." She responded, looking down at her blade.
She stood up, holding her blade out. "Tatsumi, Murasame holds my trump card, even though I can't use it as I am now."
"Yeah, you told me about it before on the road." Tatsumi mumbled. "Why is that?"
"In order to trump card this blade possesses, I must renounce my humanity, that's what I've been told." She answered.
"Renounce your humanity!?" He shouted.
"I believe it means, that after I've killed enough people, that my heart will become like a demon's, and I can only then use it, that time may come soon." She stated.
"Huh?"
"Wave told me before, that for me to think that killing my sister would save her, makes me crazy, but maybe, that's why I have Murasame." She recalled.
"Tatsumi... if my heart becomes a demon's, and I become possessed by my blade then I will become a target of Night Raid. So please kill me, to be killed by a member of Night Raid is my lifelong dream." She announced.
Tatsumi was taken aback by her request, before he smiled. "Then I have a request too. If I get taken over by the tyrant, and become a dragon, you kill me Akame, it's my lifelong dream to be killed by a teammate." He mimicked.
Her eyes widened, and he laughed.
"That sounds so dumb right!? How about this, I felt the same way back then, it's not fair that you make me promise not to die." He stated, putting his hands on his hips.
Akame stared at him a while, before realizing what he meant, and smiled. "I'm sorry."
"Bahahaha!"
The two quickly looked up into the tree, only then just noticing Shobu, who was laughing hysterically.
"I can't! You two are a riot!" He announced, dropping down to the grass.
He looked out into the setting sun, and threw an arm around both teammates, hugging them close to him.
