Shobu only payed half attention as he read over the contents of a letter that was addressed to him, claiming the contents as urgent.

But still, he kept an ear out as Najenda explained what will be happening next in the meeting room.

"This next case involves a Religion called "The Way of Peace." They have believers far and wide." Najenda started, everyone in Night Raid present as the information for the first big operation in a while is shared to them.

"The one that preaches that good deeds will bring happiness and long life?" Chelsea asked.

"Oh! It had spread to my village too. When we left for our trip, the chief gave us a figurine from that Religion." Tatsumi realized, remembering the trinket that saved his life from Akame.

"Yes, over the past ten years, The Way of Peace has been growing in followers. It's become a large force on the east side of the Capital." She explained, taking a long drag of a cigarette. "Before long, The Way of Peace will lead an armed uprising, in other words, a Religious revolt, we plan to take advantage of this." She informed them.

Tatsumi's eyes widened. "H-hold it! If such a huge revolt happened, do you realize how many people would lose their lives? Shouldn't we be trying to keep a revolt from happening in the first place?" He asked.

"The Empire's corrupt government has mistreated the people too much, even if we try to suppress a revolt by The Way of Peace, the people's anger will inevitably erupt somewhere." Najenda responded. "This nation has already reached its boiling point." She stated seriously.

"So that's how it is..." Tatsumi mumbled, gritting his teeth as he glared down at the ground.

"Just let her finish her story." Chelsea chastised.

"You remember when that tribe revolted? And the hero of the north business?" Lubbock asked.

"Weren't both those revolts put down my Esdeath?" Tatsumi asked back.

"They only failed because they defied the Empire on their own." Lubbock replied, rolling his eyes as if it were obvious. "The Empire's still immensely strong. After a time, even The Way of Peace revolt will be crushed, and a lot of blood will be shed." He added.

Najenda slammed her metal hand down on a map of the Empire, sitting atop a table.

"That's where the revolutionary army comes in." She stated. "The moment The Way of Peace's armed uprising begins, we'll attack along with the allied tribe from the west. That will put the Empire in the position of having two adversaries on the inside and the outside." She explained. "Even then, however, they'll still probably hold out. So to deal them a finishing blow, the revolutionary army will start an uprising from the south. They'll march to the Capital, and overthrow the Empire."

"I see, so it'll be a three way maneuver." Tatsumi realized, crowding up with the others around the map.

Shobu stood up, pocketing the letter with a stern face, standing alongside Tatsumi, throwing an arm around his neck, and pulling him down to give him a noogie. "Four way bucko, there's another place we're attacking them from." He stated.

"The North as well?" Tatsumi asked, surprised.

"Almost, from up above, in the air." Shobu responded.

"Huh? But I thought the Danger Beasts up around the Capital made it impossible to attack?" He asked again.

"It does, the attack I'm going to be leading, with members of the western tribe that specialize in aerial combat, Danger Beast or not, we will simply be a suppressive attack, we're there to make sure nobody can call in aerial support, while also putting more pressure on their defences." Shobu explained.
