Shobu let out a sigh as he stood in front of the cave, Leone and Akame coming through the forest ahead of him.
"I was wondering when you would pick up on it, it sounds pretty bad, I tried calming him earlier, but he was in too much pain to hear me." Shobu explained as the two walked up to him.
A loud cry echoed from inside the cave, and they all walked up so they could see inside.
Tatsumi was slouched over, on his knees as he gripped his head, no, his face.
"I traced the scent of danger, but for it to be this bad..." Leone mumbled.
Tatsumi, hearing them, looked over, to reveal that one half of his face had turned scaly, appearing like a dragon, it had effected down his whole right arm as well, and a large horn was protruding out the top of his head.
"He's blending with it." Shobu mumbled, pitying the poor boy.
"The Doctor, said I could use Incursio four times, but I only used it once, and now look at me." He held out a hand in front of himself, gripping a fist. "It's like my body, is being eaten from the inside out!"
Akame sighed as she sat down in front of him, gently grabbing his outstretched hand, Leone joining him on his right side and Shobu on his left.
"It's going to be okay, we're here for you."
"You get anxious when you're alone right? Doesn't having company make you feel more at ease?"
"You don't have to go through this alone."
Tears began to well up in Tatsumi's eyes at the kind words, and he allowed them to gently pick him up, and lead him back to the base.
"You guys, thank you."
...
Sitting around the couch, Seryu sat down on the couch opposite Tatsumi, placing down some cups of tea.
Shobu and Leone were sitting together, and Akame was next to Tatsumi, who's looking better, other than what looks to be a scaly crack traveling along the right side of his face.
"Now that you've calmed down, you're almost back to normal." Akame commented.
"Yeah, thank you." Tatsumi responded, smiling.
"Oh! You're even smiling!" Leone noticed.
The door to the room suddenly opened, Najenda walking through. "Akame, Shobu! You've got jobs to do!" She announced.
"As for Tatsumi, Leone and Seryu, you'll all be sitting out, and before any of you protest I already have an argument for whatever you say." She added.
"That makes sense, they have to get back into shape for the big fight." Shobu mumbled.
"Huh? Did you get hurt sis?" Tatsumi asked, looking over at Leone.
Leone sighed dramatically, leaning into Shobu. "It's annoying, but when I set you up for that last attack, I kinda got stepped on by that beast, I was able to regenerate, but I'm still sore all over." She explained. "And this guy isn't helping at all, he's as stiff as a board when he sleeps." She added, poking Shobu on the cheek a bunch.
Shobu ignored the poking, instead picking up and repositioning Leone so she could be more comfortable.
"She'll be fine though, don't worry." Shobu finished.
"Ah, yeah." Tatsumi mumbled in response. Get a room you two!
"As much as I want to go do something, there's still another week or so before I'm actually allowed to help, and based on the mission, I'd be surprised if I could help anyways." Seryu stated.

Action"You sure this'll work?" Shobu asked, holding the rare ore in his hand, glancing at Okami, before hesitantly looking over at Esdeath, who was waiting patiently for them. "Yes." Okami responded, taking a heavy breath as he held up his own ore. "Alrig...
