Soldier's Emotions

Okami cursed as he jumped down the staircase after Seryu. "They're on our tail!" He shouted.

The two came across the main foyer, which was now empty, showing just how spacious it was.

"Tch, then we'll have to fight." Seryu muttered, stopping in front of the front door and turning, Koro at her side.

Okami stood beside her, and the three chasing them finally caught up.

Tatsumi, Leone, and Mine of Night Raid.

"You!" Mine shouted, gripping onto her gun tighter, staring threateningly at Seryu.

Seryu couldn't find it in her to glare back, knowing that they were on the side of justice here. "We don't have to fight, you know what they say about Teigu fights, someone is going to die no matter what, and I've gotten some upgrades since the last time you saw me, it's not a good idea to fight me right now." She bargained, Koro growling whilst standing in front of her.

Tatsumi also found himself glaring at Seryu, before noticing Okami next to her. "You." He realized.

Okami gave a small wave. "I don't sense that string guy with you this time, and Akame seems to be somewhere else as well, you sure you want to fight us when we have more tricks up our sleeves?" He threatened.

Leone smirked. "Isn't it better that way? A full out hands on brawl, that's the best way to kill someone isn't it?"

"I somewhat agree, but we're not your targets here."

"You are now!" Mine shouted, raising her gun, firing at Seryu and him.

Koro grew in size, tanking the bullets before shrinking back down.

"Listen! Just let us walk away, and nobody has to grieve over another dead body!" Seryu shouted, starting to grow frustrated.

"Grieve? You?! You laughed when you killed my best friend!" Mine shouted, pointing her gun out again. "What would you know about grieving? You heartless murderer!" She accused.

Seryu snarled as she took a step forward, not taking another as Okami grabbed her arm. "Who do you think you are!? You know nothing about me! Villains killed my parents, then the person who taught me everything I know was killed by you! And then the man I owe so much to is murdered! And now I'm being told everything I've come to believe in was a lie! You know nothing about what I've gone through!" Anger gave way to sadness as tears started steaming down her eyes, and she collapsed down to her knees, crying into her hands.

Okami knelt down next to her, wrapping his arms around her in a friendly hug.

He knew this would happen eventually, with all that had happened in the past couple of months she hasn't had the proper time to actually process it all, all this new information which was breaking apart everything she believed in.

The three Night Raid members stared in confused shock, Mine and Tatsumi having never thought Seryu was even capable of breaking down like this, while Leone had simply never had this happen to her before.

Koro walked up to Seryu, lightly hugging at her leg, offering whatever support he could.

Okami stood back up, staring down at Seryu's crying form, and turned back to Night Raid.

He took a couple of steps forward, a frown visible to them.

The three quickly took defensive stances, expecting an attack, only for a sudden chill to go down their spines.

Okami took another step forward, this time heavier, holding his arms out as he stared at the three who stared back at him in clear fear.

A sudden aura had erupted from the man, an aura which consumed everything around it, becoming its own domain which threatened those who dared stay in it.
