"Everyone here." Najenda said, looking around to see each of the members of Night Raid present in the room.

"I have three pieces of bad news, brace yourselves."

She stared hard as she leaned forward in her seat, showing her seriousness. "The first, is that we've lost contact with our Regional Team." She stated.

"Regional Team?" Tatsumi asked.

"The Empire is vast, we focus our efforts on the capital. There's another Assassin team that works throughout the Region." Akame explained.

"I'm looking into it now, but it's possible they've been wiped out." Najenda started. "Please prepare yourselves for that opportunity."

Shobu frowned, another Assassin team, like us, just wiped out? Just like that?

He shivered as he had the sudden feeling of wanting to go train.

"We have to bolster our hideout's defences." Najenda said, Lubbock nodding.

"Got it, I'll expand the area of my threads." He said.

Najenda's eyes turned downcast as she spoke next. "The second thing is, that Esdeath has subjugated the North, and returned to the Capital."

"That was a lot sooner that we expected." Akame commented.

"She's always been a thorn in our side!" Lubbock complained.

"It seems most of Esdeath's men have kept North to keep a watch over things." Najenda informed.

"Good, then she won't be making her move to crush the Rebel Army anytime soon." Bulat added.

"I can't tell her what her next move will be." Najenda spoke honestly. "Currently, she spends her days and nights in the Torture Hall drilling the guards on their methods." She explained.

She then turned to Leone. "Leone, you go to the Capital and find out what Esdeath's up to." She ordered.

"Got it!" She accepted. "I've always wondered what kind of person she is."

"She's a dangerous enemy guilty of mass murder. Be careful." Najenda immediately said.

"All right all right." Leone said, shaking the topic off.

Heh, Leone thought. Then that means, she's another one I can take out if I get the chance. The wicked, sadistic General they call 'The Empire's Strongest.' She's just as deserving of extermination as the Minister.

She smirked, but felt a sudden chill.

She quickly shot her head in a direction, linking eyes with Shobu, who was staring at her, almost through her.

He knows.

He broke the eye contact, paying attention back to Najenda as he spoke again.

"The last thing is, there has been a string of murders targeting civil servants in the Capital. So far, three servants have been killed, along with sixty-some guards." She started, unrolling a paper in her hand and showing it to the rest.

"That mission we had then." Lubbock started, Najenda nodding.

"It was to see who was behind it. But the problem here is, these papers with 'Night Raid' written on them have been left at the scenes." She explained.

"What obvious imposters, they're trying to pin the crime on us." Bulat noticed.

"But don't people see right through the lie?" Tatsumi asked. "I mean, suddenly openly crediting ourselves like that."

"People thought that after the first two incidents." Najenda started. "But now more and more seem to believe it's us." She said.

"Why?" Tatsumi asked.
