Aemond's P.O.V.

"What the fuck..." I hear Daeron snap from the living room as I leave the garage. "Why are her friends giving her such a hard time? She literally just gave them gifts."

"... Because they think she's doing too much for her boss." Cordelia answers in a sympathetic tone while I shuffle into the main room. "They don't understand the lifestyle you must have in the fashion world with Miranda Priestly."

"They still don't have to be rude like that."

"I know."

Frowning at the conversation I hear happening in the living room, I step out from the hall and glance around. I'm just about to take my jacket off when I see something I never thought I'd see in my own damn house. My entire body stiffens as if I walked in on something I'm going to regret, making me stay planted at the entrance of the living room.

Aegon's dead asleep on the loveseat and snuggling with an empty liquor bottle. My oldest brother is snoring loudly, and he has some purple mud paint covering his entire face. Daeron's sitting on the floor with his back up against the couch as he watches a girly movie I've never seen before.

He is wearing some pink mud mask over his face with his eyes glued to the tv screen as he eats popcorn. Cordelia's sitting on the couch right behind Daeron with our dogs laying on either side of her. She has a pink mud paint on her face as she braids Daeron's hair and listens to the movie.

Cordelia's in a cute little set of blue pajamas with white pock-a-dots and her hair is in a messy bun. There are snacks and girl products all over the table that I've never seen before. I just got home this evening from taking Alys Rivers on a date and I didn't expect seeing anything I see before me now.

"What the hell is all this?"

I can't help but blurt out when no one notices me standing here. Cordelia and Daeron instantly peer over at me with bright clueless eyes before one of them pauses the movie they're watching. Glancing at the clock on the wall, Cordelia speaks up curiously while her hands continue to mess with Daeron's braided hair.

"You're getting back from work late..."

"He wasn't at work, Delia." Daeron explains on my behalf as I cautiously take off my jacket. Walking over to the kitchen island and tossing my jacket on the counter, I listen as my baby brother informs our kitty cat of a roommate. "Aemond here... Was on a date with his girlfriend. Alys Rivers."

"Oh... Alys Rivers..."

Cordelia sings out slowly as if it's top secret information and wags her eyebrows at me. Rolling my eye at her sly expression, I walk over to the fridge and grab a beer. I wouldn't consider Alys my girlfriend, but I might as well, since we sleep together and go on dates pretty regularly.

However, I never really think of us in a relationship since I'm only seeing her to make my mother happy. The Rivers family has a company that my mother wants to merge with Iron Throne Enterprises. She's hoping that if I marry Alys in the future that her parents will agree to the company merger.

So, to keep my mother from complaining, I wine and dine Alys, but whenever I'm with Alys; I see it as business with a few perks here and there. Though I don't believe Cordelia will understand my situation, so I'll leave her mind to think what she wants. Not only that, but it's only been a week since she moved in and I don't believe Aegon told her the extent of our family's significance in Westeros yet.

"Yeah... Alys Rivers..." Daeron sings out the same way Cordelia did with an amused smirk. "They've been a relationship for almost a year now. Isn't that right, Aemond?"
