Baela's P.O.V.

"No... Sunfyre... Sit."

Sunfyre makes a long dramatic whine before plopping down beside Cordelia with a pouting gaze. Staring at the dogs that surround Cordelia, I smirk before grabbing more seashells to put on the sandcastle. Cordelia and I are on the backyard beach of my cousin's house, drinking margaritas and listening to the radio.

It's a Friday night, and we made plans to hangout at Cordelia's place since she has the beach five feet away from her home. We have a firepit made of sand all ready to go for when it gets dark and we have a s'more plus hotdog set up next to the soon to be lit bonfire. Inspecting our sandcastle that Sunfyre wants to knock down, I blurt out, impressed.

"This looks good... But it's missing something."

"That's what I was thinking." Cordelia sighs like she's glad I see that there is something missing too and it's not just in her head. Tilting her head and staring at our sand palace, she murmurs, hoping it will solve the problem. "Daeron is getting a shovel. Maybe we should dig a moat."

Daeron's inside the house at the moment, making more margaritas and getting equipment to make a bigger sandcastle. He crashed our girl's night just like Cordelia knew he would, and he's too polite for me to tell him to beat it, but I wouldn't have hesitated to say that to Aemond and Aegon. Luckily, they're about to leave to hit the casinos, so I don't have to worry about them ruining our night.

I would have invited Cordelia back to my place to hang out, but I don't have the beach or a view like this. I have a nice skyline of the city from my apartment with my sister, but who would want to stay inside on one of the last days of summer weather? Finishing off my mix drink, I agree with Cordelia while stealing Daeron's drink that he forgot to bring inside with him.

"A trench will do the trick... And we can fill it with water-"

"Baby, we're about to leave."

I hear Aemond shout from the house, making both of us turn away from the sandcastle. The second Cordelia sees him on the backyard deck, she springs up from the sand and jogs over to him. Sunfyre, Tessarion, and Vhagar all perk their heads up from where they sit but make no move to follow Cordelia like they know she'll be back.

Watching Cordelia reach my cousin, I frown when I notice Aemond's hand instantly go to her naked waist. The two are talking to one another, but I can't hear what they're saying because of the distance between us. Though by the looks of them, I can see how Cordelia's talking his ear off as he nods multiple times to show he's listening.

They're leaning in closely with their heads inclining toward one another as if they need to do so just to hear themselves. Raising a brow at the sight I see, Daeron then comes out with a shovel and pitcher of margarita mix. When he sees the two of them standing intimately together, he rolls his eyes and walks past them to meet me on the beach.

I snort at his reaction while watching him practically storm to me with an irritated expression. Glancing back over to the couple, I catch Aemond tugging at Cordelia's bikini bottom strap playfully while her hand goes to rest on his biceps. He dips forward to whisper something in her ear, and whatever he says has her slap his chest and let out a contagious laugh.

"Doesn't Aemond have a girlfriend?" I blurt out when Daeron comes to my side to refill our glasses. Exhaling dramatically at my question, Daeron answers boredly while plopping down beside me. "Yes, but apparently not when Delia's around."

"... Oh. Wow... " I breathe out in surprise while watching the two on the deck smiling at each other. Nodding his head in defeat, Daeron takes a sip of the mix drink right out of the pitcher while commenting. "I swear, Aemond gets ten times softer when Delia's in the room."
